@helopeaplee It will depend on your operating system, but normally can be found in the start menu. If you don't want to waste time looking for it, use the search function in the start menu, the search option is available for all operating systems. Just search for 'run' if its not already there.

@MrBlackeagle10 This is normally when a program (in this case BF:H) is not properly installed from the beginning. If a game is not installed correctly, then the registries will not hold the information that they need in order to make the game run. I'd suggest clearing out everything to do with BF:H, from every folder you can find. Once you think they have all done, try removing all of the registries you can. Also to try and help things, use Mozilla Firefox, as Bf:H seems to prefer it over IE

@IIGAZI360II I have the installation dir too, but I don't want to spend lika a year searching for all of the files, i deleted all of ea games and bfh, but somewhere, there must be some stuff still hanging. Do you know a program to search all of these files?

@lullie0911 Sorry to hear about the problems you are having. Unfortunately there is no 'easy' way of getting rid of the files/registry values, however there are a few searches you can do. If you use the windows search capability and start of with a simple search, something like 'EA' and see what it brings back. If still no luck and you are sure there are no files remaining, it may be worth a shot at a registry cleaner, I can't link to one on here, but google 'registry mechanic'. Hope it helps.

@NeosMusicUnlimited This is an install type of game, its not a game that you can just play in your browser, it is far too complex for that. As for that particular error, that will be related to files on the partion of your hard drive, and from the looks of it, they are either missing or have not been installed correctly. Maybe try over on the forums, or install the latest a fresh version of the latest build.

@Eroltz33 This video doesn't really cover the latest patches as this error is no where near as common as it used to be. All I can suggest is doing a complete uninstall then reinstall of the latest version. Or maybe head on over to the forums on the battlefield website, ill try and post a link to the help page on the description of this video

@zionbikeco I'll quickly run through it 1) Right Click on Windows 7 Start Menu and select Properties 2) Click on Customize under Start Menu tab 3) Scroll down and locate Run Command checkbox 4) Check “Run Command” option to enable Run command in your Start Menu, click Ok and Apply and save settings. You should now have 'Run' on the start menu

Sad to hear it won't work for you, as mentioned in some other posts due to the version of BF:H I used to make this vid, it won't always work for the newer versions of it. All I can really say is make sure it is removed from everywhere, temp internet files, folders, sub folders, registries, recycle bin etc. Let us know how you get on.

@anxuizz - Sounds a bit strange that its not finding any registry values at all. If you don't have any other EA related games installed on your computer you could try searching 'EA' on the registry values and see what appears. Unfortunately a lot of people are saying that what I did in the video no longer works but thats because when I made the video the version that I used was quite an early on of BF:H so it will be different to the newest one. Make sure you delete your temp internet files too

I deleted the files from com. manually and by the control panel. When i saw ur vid none if those registry values went up. I think i deleted it but when  want to re-install it says i still have it and need to update. When i uptade it sayd error: Failed to find blah blah blah! Whats the problem

@Zeldainhyrule What internet browser are you using? If either IE or Firefox, then make sure to remove the add on from the browser and delete and temporary internet files from your system.

Make sure you have gotten rid of all files that are linked with BFH, and also delete you temporary internet files if using IE or Firefox.

Make sure its removed from everywhere on your computer, and clear the file from your temp files because it will be cached, if you don't it won't allow you to re-download it again

ive done this exact thing...

ive deleted evry(sorry brain fart) thing on in and around my documents with the letters BFH, EA, and everything, but i still cant reinstall. i think im going to puke so i will try anything to be able to install bfh again

ok, there must be something still hanging around in a file location somewhere, could be in your temporary internet folder so maybe try deleting that, if no luck there, remove the add on's in your internet browser (IE7/8, Firefox) and see if it will give you the chance to reinstall. If all of that fails, try and get a friend to put the install file onto a memory stick for you and reinstall from there, or if you were really that serious about getting it back, you could wipe your hard drive.

Make sure that you have followed the instructions on the video, remove the plugin from your internet browser for battlefield heroes then try a new install, if it won't re-install in a particular internet browser try another one, then go back to your original. If that still hasn't worked message back and ill think of something else

What does it do?.

It just completely uninstalls the game to make way for a clean install, the registrys can become 'infected' and will not allow you to continue with the re-install, doing this normally allows you to re-install properly. Don't delete any other registrys though, as it may cause your operating system not to work.

Have you uninstalled it from the 'remove programs' under your control panel yet?

Also just search for anything related to BF:H by using windows search, and delete it.

Try re-downloading, and it should install and allow you to sign in and play
