METALLICA is fuckin' awesome---I loved them up to the Black album, then they weren't the same ,but they still put out a great song or two. I REALLY miss the 80's days when their albums were GREAT with only a weak song or two.

I would actually love to hear a solo country record from James Hetfield. Not like a "lost my wife and house and my dog dont love me anymore" record. More like what Johnny Cash did with the American albums. I'm a metal guy but i also love what Johnny Cash did with those albums and i think James has the stuff to pull it off + James is a big country fan himself.

Its so stupid to think that everything after Justice was crap. That's so childish. It's like everything that is thrash metal or heavier is great and the rest crap... Doesn't make sense. Some of their albums are more mainstream but they didn't make thiose albums because they were going to get more money. Cant they just want to play something else or cut their hairs? Liking not so heavy music is not being a poser.

It is stupid to call them the best band in the world, when you simultaneously devalue more of half of their albums.

Besides, you should better be open to more than thrash metal! Load and reload are not "mainstream metal", they are more commercial but everyone should appreciate the progression they'e made because it does not mean that this is shitty music, you know?

People grow older and the music they make developes from album to album, I think you didn't get that yet.

Metallicas the greatest damn band on the face of this god-fuckin planet, BUT, every album after ...And Justice For All (with the exception of Death Magnetic, to an extent) had all lost the flair of the First Four (Kill Em All-Justice)

The Black Album's good, but that n every other up to Death Magnetic were no longer thrash n just mainstream metal.

Death Magnetic is hopefully the start of them reliving their old days n bringing back their former glory.

I have been annoyed with Metallica for 18 years. I hard "My Apocalypse" for the first time and automatically felt that it sounded forced and the title and lyrics were rehashed and there was no fire. I was Christmas shopping (for myself of course) and saw the Death Magnetic CD on the wall. I bought it on an impulse and figured that I wouldgive it the full listen front to back then give it away to someone. Well I listened to it and it was like putting on my old denim vest again after 18 years.

well i been to many Slayer shows and their fans are fucking nuts i'm a fan myself but not i diehard fan, and since metallica is more mainstream than Slayer so i guess they would be pissed at songs from the Black Album load, reload and even St. Anger albums i'm also curious because back in the 1980's they were in top 5 of the trash metal movement, i recall the only show that i know they done together was ''Tatto the Earth'' i think it was back in 2000 and it was in New Jersey
