To those who are atheist, there need be scientific proof, and then, and only then, can a determination of reality be claimed. Until then, it is either conjecture or reserved judgement. It has nothing to do with belief, everything to do with skepticism. Religious people have faith, which is, by definition, belief that is not based on proof - belief in what one has been told by tradition, even if it counters rational thought or experience. It is the opposite of skepticism.

He says "well, it used to be 4 billion", this is already wrong as he is referring to the age of the universe. 4.54 billion was considered the age of the Earth, not the universe.
After that he says "10 billion" which is true, Edwin Hubble was very close to 14.75 billion years. But as we advanced in technology we became more precise.

Shmuley is fairly smart. Yes, it (evolution) is still a belief system. Our design is in the image of God. That is what makes our design different from all other animals. Genetic testing just disproved the idea that all people are descended from African people and a supposed older Neanderthal (possibly not descended from Africans) was found outside of Africa.

This was most cringe-inducing when he rubbished evolution and spoke at length about Hitler and Stalin. Funnily enough, Hitler actually admired aspects of organised religion, and throughout his life spoke of 'providence' guiding him in his mission. Stalin's brand of Marxist-Leninism waged a war against Kulaks, the agricultural economy, private ownership, and anything else that got in its way, including religion. Dawkins believes in chance(he certainly does not believe that ANYTHING can happen over time as you falsely stated).
Evolution is a highly reasonable process considering bioligcal features of live creatures and it DOES NOT mean ANYTHING can happen over time.

I know that religious nuts have the capacity to believe they are talking a man no one else can see but this is insane, where the hell is Richard Dawkins? Perhaps Richard is sitting at home at the time of the debate, which would at least explain why we cant hear him and why Shmuley, apparently, has to yell this loud.

Leave your bias aside, actually listen to Shmuley, he is 100% right regarding evolution and Atheism, what you Atheist's need to do is stop making God small, you need to right size God of how massive he is, how great he is. Also people, think better of yourselve's because you are better than some genetic mutation, or an evolved creature, your an amazing creation.

I don't know why religious people try to use science and logic in their speeches while everything logic and science say is against them. by the way, the guy doesn't have the slightest idea how evolution works. and who said that 13 billion years is needed for evolution?? that's the age of the universe not the time needed for evolution.
