  • It pains me that Gaga and Bieber have 13000 times as many views as this. Why arent the pogue as famous as Bob Dylan or John Lennon??

  • One of my favorites amongst maybe 10 or 20 other songs.

  • Shane and the Pogues speak to my Irish soul and now with a bottle of Jamesons remembering my loved ones so far away.... well it is magic, sad sweet magic.... bless you all.

  • YUM! I love the green tea.

  • Shane's songs always evokes rich imagery in his songs - you can just picture a dejected fellow walking sadly down a London street near the riverside at night.

  • "may the angels bright watch you tonight,

and keep you while you sleep"

  • wierd pic :o

  • One of the best tunes ever written.

  • Davvero un capolavoro della musica questo pezzo! Peccato che Shane abbia preso, suo malgrado, quella via... Maledizione, quante altre belle canzoni ci avrebbe regalato! Coraggio Shane, ti capisco e ti sono vicino...

  • used to sing this to get my little children to sleep. They're now 19 and 16..how time flies.

  • best pogues song !!! absolutely beautiful

  • damn i love this song

  • This is THE greatest Pogues song of all time "may they all sleep tight down in hell tonight - or wherever they may be" - perfect!

  • what a good post ..thank you..reminds of fishing at sea..thanks

  • Great song as it captures the Irish experience in London.

  • My favourite geezer toofed geezers.

  • My favorite Pogues tune. Absolutely beautiful!

  • Went to the pogues in belfast on 2nd dec.

Great gig, great atmosphere. People cried during this, Kitty, Thousands and Fairytale... genuine fucking emotional tears. it was phenomenal.

  • Went ot the Pogues concert recently and wow, they did this song amazingly. Shane was so contented and lovely when he did it. Very relaxed and calm during singing it, was beautiful.

  • wish i was there

  • Touched by the rivers and kissed by the seas.

    Brilliant

  • I used to listen to The Pogues a lot. I found a video tape in a charity shop and came here looking for this song. Reading the lyrics once again i must say that i've NEVER seen ANY other song writer with the ability to make you cry so easily. B*****D!.

  • id love to meet the younger version of him would be cool :]

  • THE POGUES

    SHAWN MCGOWAN

    enough said, thins of legend

  • @Keubrunova it's "Shane MacGowan", not Shawn McGowan ;)

  • I like this song, but, what's that cat from?

  • Amazing, i met shane in a bar the other night and he could hardly string a sentance together, but without a doubt he is the best songwriter in the world

  • What I would give to meet that man! Although I would want to meet the 80s version of him :)

  • deadly. mcgowan on the ball again, frightening

  • A pure pure genius of a song, only mcgowen could pen that one together. Fair play too ya boy!

  • Shane is the greatest songwriter of the 20th century.

  • @bosco1109 to true, joe strummer was great, and a better frontman.... but the pogues were just something else...... he is the ugliest bastard i have ever seen though ;)

  • everybody in the UK should listen to this... just like so many before him, shane wont be recognised appropriately until he's gone

  • My favorite Pogues What a talented band~! Thanks for posting !

  • Thanks, drink my green tea

  • @MatsudaYouWhoShoot Drink my cum
