The mustang was meant to compete with the camaro/trans am. Its fords fault for making a shitty 4.6 litre. So dont come in with that bullshit that are engines are too big. i hate it when people try to compare cars. for 1 the mustang has a smaller engine (4.6L 281) the ws6 has(5.7L 346) a much bigger motor. the supercharger doesn't matter. it's like in the new camaro and the 2011 mustang both are going to have the same power (412hp) but the mustang is making that power with a smaller motor and always has been 5.0L mustang vs. 6.2L camaro. also i'm sure the camaro won't be getting 30mpg either. you can tell i'm a mustang guy

@leemajors0831 The Mustang and Camaro aren't getting 30MPG, they both get about 26 on the highway. Now the Mustang V6, with 2.73 gears gets about 31MPG highway with 305HP.
The 5.7 LS1 in the old Camaro and Firebirds could get 28MPG with the 6 speed, that's v6 territory with V8 power.

I have an automatic LS1, and with 100% gasoline (no ethanol) I have gotten 29MPG driving 55MPH. So if your friends are getting 23MPG then their car is seriously modded or is in severe need of a tune up.
