I noticed when ive been playing LoL for the first time yesterday... SotIS is so copying LoL, but anything is good as long as the game keeps getting better
I personally enjoy Sotis, though the players can be assholes. It isn't as good as WC3 DoTA but they put a ton of work into it and the custom interface. I'm really proud of those who made it, they are the type of people who push the editor to its limits.
@summersrudy You should see some of the stuff people have made over at sc2mapster. It's REALLY pushing the editor to the limit :D As in 3rd person shooters, dead space style games, arcade clones, and fighting games. It's fantastic.
@Sc2mapper117 yeah i agree that the guys at sc2mapster push the editor to the limit in some ways but sotis is a great game and pushes the editor to its limits in other way and you also have to take note that there is only one guy making the game and another guy helping with the UI so you can't expect it to be as good as lol or dota because those games have whole crews for balancing and graphics and other details.
@GamesGaloreVideos I've played sotis, it's so unbalanced. It's not even that good. The heroes are generic and boring, nothing exciting. It's really unpolished. LoL beats this by far and it's free and they are constantly adding heroes. Sotis made a horrible clunky character select for no reason. Try to make it look good when they're just copying blizzard dota's showcase. To have commentators is stupid, the game has nothing to commentate.
@Keyeszx48 It's not that sotis doesn't have anything to commentate it's just that dota as a genre isn't commentating kind of e sport. There's way too much going on to be able to keep track of it all. It's like commentating on a 4v4 melee match, it's just stupid.
@Keyeszx48 Then I don't think that you've actually played it. When I say played it I mean get into the meta game. Get into a team and try to win against other teams. Like knowing every character. Also, this game has been around WAY before blizzard's dota showcase. Even more so this game is just as free as LoL and even more free considering you get all the champs for nothing. The person who makes this is also balancing this game(I hope I haven't played in a bit). You just hating for no reason.
@GamesGaloreVideos You have a wonky idea of free then. $50 for starcraft 2 then you get to play the map? Sure is free right there. Just because the map isn't on the map arcade doesn't mean it's free. When I referred to blizzard dota showcase I meant the character select screen. It didn't have that before blizzard dota was showcased with a select screen in a similar fashion. They just stole blizzard dota's idea for a character select screen. Not creative, neither are the heroes.
@GamesGaloreVideos It's really a poorly made game. It's NOT as free as LoL because sc2 does cost money. But I've played it, and I could make a higher quality map. It's really not that hard, you just need the time and attention span to do it. Blizzard DOTA will be much better, I hope :D
@Keyeszx48 sotis has many balanced and unique heros and is only boring at times is the communities fault because you don't get to chose someone not to be a jerk and some people are just good and some are just bad its as simple as that, and if anything blizzard dota copied its loading screen from sotis because sotis had that loading screen way before blizzard dote showcased theirs. the real problem with sotis is that its just another dota clone and not very unique as far as the meta game goes.

Actually LoL is copying DoTA.
DoTA was a game created in the Warcraft 3 engine, which was an outdated version of the starcraft 2 map editor.

SOTIS really doesn't have anything on WC3 DotA, HoN, LoL, DOTA 2 or even DEMIGOD. It's unbalanced, slow paced, ugly and generally just not fun.
