and actually i dont think ted ginn turned on the "jets" on that florida kick off return...becuz if you look at the norte dame game when he got a reverse and scored you could tell he was running real fast but then when u look at the florida game it didnt look like he turned on the jets which mean he's got some serious speed!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't care what Florida fans say...he was necessary for success of the 2006 Buckeyes in those football games. If you single-teamed him, he made you pay big. Most teams put two, even 3, defenders on him.
Watch that catch against ND again at 3:35. Tom Zbikowski, a legit 4.4 guy, has a good lead and a big angle on Ginn yet Ginn still almost gets by him. Another sick play is that slant screen he takes to the house against MSU in '04.
Ginn is the fastest player in pads since Deion Sanders. That is fact.
i have to apologize for the music. i'm unable to use disturbed, so i had to choose from an offering of yt music. i tried to find something to fit. not what i wanted, but better than it was.
haha the funny part ohio state is going to be to go again next year to a possible national championship terell pryor is our leader and we hve plenty of good talent at runing back if beanie leaves and our defense is still going to be good lke i said year after year osu is great haters ted ginn ted ginn ted ginn ted ginn did everythting :)
every fuking year osu gets prospects they also get good bowl games...the game againts florida was bs cause ginn got injured if he wouldnt hve we of done good but all the turnovers we did caused us the game.....and osu is all was a top ranked team and who the fuk do u ass holes like i bet who ever u like suks dome shit dont watch any osu players or highlights just rember osu is the only team to go perfect 13 and 0 so fuk offf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's nobody in denial, and why the fuck after two years would you bother posting on this video unless your an Ohio State fan?
That said, he has a point. The way we evaded speedy DE's (such as florida and harvey) was with the end arounds, quick strikes and deep threat posed by ginn. - taking away our largest threat recieving was a serious hamper.
Do I believe we would have still one? Nope, our O line was playing matador all night, but don't come on here talking shit- not needed
lmao at OSU fans in denial. Florida scored 34 points in the first half. What does Ted Ginn have to do with that? I didn't know he averaged 40 points a game by himself. You could have rolled out Jerry fucking Rice and OSU would've lost. OSU is the laughing stock of college football, no one takes OSU seriously.
If you're not a buckeye fan, watch your own teams highlight videos, because no one here wants to hear your bullshit. Fuckin grow up you piece of shit!!
im a huge ohio state fan and i think that if ted ginn had played the entire game then it would have been a lot different bc he completely changes the offense and field position but its hard to say who would have won
you are worthless. There are 119 teams in D1 and the 2 teams at the top of those 119 teams play for the national championship, Ohio State has played in the last 2. Yeeeah soo overrated, yeah they lost but i will garuntee that tOSU will WIN a NC in the next few years. You should really worry about your own team rather than cappin on Ohio State the whole time. Just shows how lame your whole life is.
again, i haven't claimed Ginn's presence would've gaurenteed OSU victory, but he certainly would've changed the final score. Ginn gets open quickly, which means that Troy would've been able to get rid of the ball more quickly. also, how do you counter a fast aggressive defense? misdirection. how many reverses did you see in this video? in closing, fla won the game, but it's foolish to think that Ginn would've made no difference.
first congrats gator fan, your team won. that's a fact, but as a diehard OSU fan, i can't help but think of what might've been had Ginn not been lost after 1 play. Ginn had 1 touch, and 1 td. i don't think it's unreasonable to think that had Ginn played a full game, OSU would've scored more. consequently, with the Bucks O on the field more, fla's would've been on the field less.
Because they're both speed demons in their own right...well at least in college, NFL has proved to be completely different from college to them so they're not as successful as they could be so far, but given another season or two they'll grow to be a dangerous threat to their opponents.
hahaha what a joke. Talk about a sore loser. Florida systematically broke down your D and O. They didn't stack the line. They got pressure rushing 4 all night. moron.
ohio state lost confidence when ted ginn went down but i think the outcome of the game would have been differnt but we(ohio state)would have still lost but this year we have threats thats good like are rb's and are wr's there a preety good group to be so young i say undefeted and it depends who we play in the bcs game and bcs is forsure this year
Yeah Guinn would have changed the outcome, and I would have won the lotto if I only would have got four other numbers right, troy smith couldn't get a pass off so unless he was gonna play QB I'm pretty sure his best game would not have matter.
Plenty of college players run a 4.4, you make it sound like hes any different than all the players Ginn burns regularly. And look at the angle Nelson was at... yea him catching Ginn was not going to happen held or not.
And did I compare Ginn to Bush? Yes I did, both are playmakers with great speed. Since Bush is a RB it's pretty obvious he's going to "play" more. Ginn is doing fine in the return game and Bush averaged, what, like barely 3 yards rushing his first few weeks?
it should have been a penalty no matter what, but they didnt call it so osu got a free 7 points, comparing ginn to bush haha, bush was the best player in college at the time he played ginn wasnt even the best on his team, btw wats ginn average for returns?
you don't understand. it doesn't matter if reggie nelson was 20 yards away. Holding is holding. No matter where he was on the field, its a 15 yard penalty.
but that really doesn't matter because the final score is what counts....41-14
As a Gator fan i respect Tedd Ginn jr and wish he had not gone down. However in 2006 Ohio State relied on big plays as a key part of their offense, and we were not giving them up. Tedd Ginn Jr may have helped, however our front 4 was getting pressure on Troy Smith, your tackles could not block our ends. That is why we won.
Troy was a big part of that, he does the complete opposite of what your taught to do. Tuck your elbows, his are stuck completely out, hold the ball like a cup, sticks its out at 90 degrees, step up with outside pressure, he tries to spin back on it against Florida, when you run into the pressure its no wonder why you threw only 36 pass yards.
I also think our defensive scheme played a huge part. Lets face it, we let you have your way on offense. We never gambled and I don't know why considering it was the NC game. We never brought pressure and played a soft zone all night. My God it was frustrating! I also think abandoning the run, which was working, hurt. You guys won and did a great job. However, there's no way it should've been by 27 points.
