My handbell choir played this version of Carol of the Bells last Christmas, where can we get the vocal arrangement for this? Is it something you guys put together?
Ding fries are done. ding fries are done. I've gotta run i've gotta run
I work in burger king making flamed broiled woppers, i wear paper hat
would you like an apple pie with thaaat would you like an apple pie with thaaat
Ding fries are done, ding fries are done, I've gotta run, I've gotta run! Dont mess with fries in hot vats it really hurts bad and so do skin grafts. ding fries are done ding fries are done ding fries aaaaare doooooone!
@Xinriearath The ones that they are ringing (looks like the lowest is about a G3 or so) are all under 5 lbs. Not too bad. Also, they are SO much more fun to play compared to the smaller bells.
@ZzTaintedzZ You beat me to it. I've rung from C3 to C8. None of them are particularly 'Heavy', just gotta get used to the feel of them. And anything lower than C3 is aluminum, so it'd be lighter than most would think.
wow i love it gorgeuos i love it its new creative but I never heard those words before I heard"Hark how the bells sweet silver bells all seem the same throw carols away christ mas is here bring good a cheer to young and old meek and the bold ding dong ding dong that is there song with joyful ring all caroling one seems to hear words of a good cheer from every where filling the air... and yadda yadda yadda but this one is AWSOME!
We attempted to do this version for our xmas eve 10pm service but because our whole bell choir is made up of chancel choir members and with it being Christmas night and all, we couldn't muster a vocal choir aside from the altos! So we did it as bell piece only and by the time we finished I think we rung our director off the chancel! Boy did we go fast!
Usually the bigger bells are made out of alumimun because they would be to heavy to play effectively otherwise, I play bells and that is the way it is with ours.
i love this song but did you noticed the people cairing the big bells? wouldent those b hevey? if they r i feel bad for the people who had to ring them
holy crap! i sang and played this last year in high school! hahaha playing the f and g 6&7 + the sharps and then singing the high soprano part...AH! it was hard. lol
you guys are very very good. how many octaves do you have in your hanbells?what is the biggest bell? also thank you for blessing us with this wonder music!
I just started handbells and I have to play one of the harder parts, it's really challenging for me because I don't know how to read music.

My god, this is beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. This has to be the most stunning arrangement of this piece I've ever heard.

Do you have just a recording, like a cd? This is indeed an excellent arrangement, excellently played and sung.

I'd hate to be the person who had to ring the ginormous bells. Talk about sore arms D:

@Xinriearath actually the aluminum bells are very light, but the brass/bronze bells get up in the twenty pound+ range

@Xinriearath It's actually a good arm workout. Sure beats the shake weight.
GaaraLatte8 1 year ago
@Xinriearath You'd be suprised. They are no heavier than the C3 bell, just awkward due to the size.

Wish I'd seen this performance in person! It's great!
Bells are among the oldest musical instruments in the world! Bell collectors, change ringers, handbell ringers -- they are all great!

The bells down in front must be heavy. They keep setting them down. :)
Beautiful. This is the best interpretation I've heard yet.
