Henkei Warpath is made of really dark metallic red, much like the original G1 toy. Cosmos and Wheelie are by far my favorites though.

any suggestions for a place to get these guys? ebay seems overpriced.. i mean 24+ bucks for wheelie alone? that seems like a lot considering its size.

i checked tru, walmart, kmart, big lots and target with no luck. based on some internet searching, i think it's safe to say that this series had a limited run. i heard it was because hasbro wanted to make way for the rotf figures.. :/

cosmos' shlong mainly, but your accent makes the review kind of humorous to me. i don't mean to sound like i'm making fun. the way you say hulky is kind of funny for example. and when you explained why you don't like warpath's character.

a lot of people are obnoxious when they're talking about their toys but that's not the case here.. i like how you mentioned the back story too by the way.

naisip ko lang, sir - would it be too much for Hasbro to give these minibots proper elbows? not even waist articulation or head articulation. just elbows. great figures, wheelie was a bit tough to get hold of.

well, elbows might increase production costs for Hasbro and i think the designers took into consideration the impact on vehicle mode stability if elbows are fitted in. but you're right, decent elboys would be great. Warpath has some nice elbow action.

yeah, wheelie's a bit popular, i reckon a lot of collectors will want him, especially coz he has a more G1 accurate paint job than the henkei version

i havent seen actual boxed figures of the henkei versions. if you happen to see them in that hobby shop where you got henkei hound and ramjet, let me know they're pretty good.

Great review! I always loved the MINIBOTS! Small Autobots bringing big trouble to the Decepticons! Very nice to see them being given the appropriate improvements. As Bumblebee said " The least likely is the most dangerous!" =)

yeah, i never really like the G1 toys of the minibots during the 80s. it's really nice how they improved on the designs of the minibots for the 25th anniv. line. i cannot wait for the next batch--i hope they make huffer, windcharger, seaspray, and gears!
