It recorded on Sunday morning, very early. Rio de Janeiro Downtown isn't a residential area, all the buildings in this video are office buildings, so on Sunday downtowns seems a ghost city, at least in early hours. Mainly because downtown isn't a touristic place in Rio and there's no shoppings in this region opened on Sundays or holidays, on the other side, during work days these streets are in a complete rush 16 hors per day.

i laugh at all who says to ban the hobby... things like pipe bombs, flash powder, and various things are highly illegal, yet they're all over youtube.. things like these can ever be "banned".. people will just fly under the radar etc.

Its one thing to "fly under the radar" with dangerous substances and alike, but its an entirely different thing to "fly under the radar" when you're sitting in a field with video goggles on, flying your plane, minding your own business only to suddenly find a cop interrogating you.

You can easily hide already illegal things in the moment you need to, but with FPV, you cant just take the goggles off and make like a tree whilst the plane flies.

well, of course that is assuming you're actually in a field.. what if you're operating it from an housing complex, or inside a mobile station like a RV or truck, it would be more than hard to find out your location, like scanning your frequency, pointing to the source, then seek n hunt etc...

Thats true, but if you have an unfortunate equipment failure, the retrieval of your plane from the suburbs would be like returning from the scene of an accident after you fled - assuming that the crash caused a greater accident.

Also, it is my understanding (limited! -probably wrong) that if you are on spread-spectrum technology; the unique code given to your transmitter would link you to any damage that your plane would have caused.

my guess is that its a weekend, probably a sunday, downtown Rio de Janeiro is empty and the 3 lane highway (actually its an avenue) was closed for vehicles. (only pedestrians and bycicles)

its only a matter of time until a FPV hobbiest experiences some sort of equipment failure or loss of signal resulting in causing some sort of accident like, hitting a motorcyclist who falls off his bike getting run over by a bus which swerves in attempt to avoid, only to cause extra fatalities.

Its best to resist the temptation of flying in such areas.

Hello Domoson, I did not say wheather I approved or not of Gabriel's video here. Not sure if that is legal there. In USA though the athorities would probably arrest me if I did. I was interested in how the video signal radio control too was good through buildings. I think 900 MHZ would be the choice. Also not 2.4 GHZ spread spectrum USA 72 MHZ. I am sorry for being rude in the past..

I would say very good around buildings. What band is your video system on? Does the RX have a high gain antenna? I believe 900 MHZ would be better then 2.4 GHZ especially for flying around buildings. Any problems with radio control?
