Dang that house had a lot of floors for 4 ducks, not to mention mansion size rooms. And they just had a tear-gas grenade handy in the house? It seems Donald does well for himself, being the main star of Disney
This made me think of that scene. Ironically enough, I saw Home Alone before this particular short, and I was an avid watcher of Donald shorts during my childhood, which was in the 80s
@TheMonsterMannen In the 30s home radios had police bands too, and the police signed off by say "That is all, last name" in this case the last name is Breckenridge and that is what he is supposed to be, a police announcer not an emcee.
It was the same with great white sharks when Jaws came out, though it hasn't completely lost the blood thirsty killer to this day. Instead of that image diminishing, it has more or less carried on to span over pretty much any shark species know to attack man.
Oh gosh, I LOVE this! One of my favorite Donald cartoons for sure!
It was funny cuz when I was little, this is the cartoon that caused me to have a really bad irrational fear of getting attacked by a bear for like 3 years. xD
What! Who the fuck disliked this? Probably some fucking stupid goth kid whos too cool for cartoons but still obsesses over the nightmare before christmas because hot topic says its cool! This cartoon is the best!
@modestballoon It's a great cartoon, but it should NOT be seen in this format. At least on my computer this is presented in widescreen and it COMPLETELY throws off the proportions. Look at 3:32 as just one of many examples. Huey is horribly elongated horizontally. It's available elsewhere on YT in full screen and looks much better. Disney cartoons were usually visually very beautiful and it's a shame to do this to one of them. It's more than enough to make someone give a thumbs down.
@MDthornton83 Nah, I think, name wise anyway, King Kong was the inspiration. After all, Mario (Jumpman at the time) had to rescue a damsel in distress from a gorilla in the early, hand-held games. And let's not forget how the Japanese, who made that character, have a thing for humongous, city-terrorizing animals. Whether it be the Japanese Godzilla or American King Kong.
By the way, look for a game from the 80s called Rampage (should be a remake someware too) ;)
@BFCrusader I think you're right. I guess King Kong was the true inspiration for Donkey Kong. I two am familiar with the arcade game franchise Rampage. I've seen every installation of it especially in the late 1990s. So, there's a new one comming soon?

This is a good cartoon!
However, it is also insulting to me, as I am a supporter of the Dutch football / soccer club Ajax...

You could do it via Listentoyoutube, then use a free audio program like audacity to trim it to the section you want.

5:25 two things: Donald's butt is as big as his head and Ajax the gorilla has a taste for a big, feathery rump of duck, extra plumpy.
