I'm a huge PJ freak & anything Vedder has done........but I gotta say that the John doe version is waaaayyyyyy better. This is just me but I really dont think Vedder & tucker's voice go well together......listen to the original version & you'll see what I mean.

@thetange Same here. Though I'm a bigger vedder fan than I'am a john doe fan , the original version is waay superior, more emotional & more impact. i feel that this one falls a little short .Also it doesn't help that tucker's & vedder's voice don;t mix well together; but thats just my opinion

I appreciate your opinion: Everyone's got one, but having access to your parents PC and googling John Does doesn't really count as criticism. It would be nice to hear why John Doe, who is a huge influence on Vedder, is "nothing' compared to him.

Wow, her singing here is a lot different than with Sleater-Kinney. I remember hearing her say in an inteview that she decided to be "confrontational" in that band, I guess this is what she sounds like when she's non-confrontational.

I dunno if anyones heard the original version done by john doe, its really good. also, for any pearl jam fans check out the Live at Easy Street album, theres a song on there called new world that pearl jam covers and john doe sings with them. its wicked good
