I upgraded my ram and now my computer power lights turn on but the screen doesnt and people on yahoo answers said i had to update my bios. what do i have to do to get it to start the first time?
The AUS version has screws on the cover and it still needs to be "popped" off. Still very quick and easy. All I can say is, WOW, what a difference in performance. Highly recommended.
There was actually three screws behind the battery that held down the keyboard and under the keyboard it was. I though it was more complicated then that. A friend found instruction videos on HP's homepage.
You can swap out the hard drive, but it requires more effort of course. Also the hard drive is a 1.8-inch pata hard drive, so most standard notebook drives will not fit- those are 2.5-inchers.
you can get a
for 7 bucks

I would like to know how to do this in the HP Mini 2140 =( Can someone please help me?
TheKento 2 years ago
You'll need to remove the battery, there are two screws that hold down a small door. The memory is behind this door.

where do you buy it from and what benifits does this have? thx

main benefits are low cost (starts at under $300) and portability (fits in my fleece's pocket), which means I can ditch my bag for quick meetings.
