I remember him from Idol and i just decided to look him up couple days ago. I can already tell I'll love his music. I enjoy rap and hip-hop , but i definitely make an exception for Danny, I really have no experience in other music genres, so i'm not sure what this is, lol ha, so if anyone has good artist suggestions do tell. @RealPeopleOnDeck Danny has a special something. For me it's the quality/tone of his voice that just feels right. The only other artist I can recommend who has (to me) a similar, yet different, voice quality is Johnny Reid. You could try giving "Thank you" "Darlin" or "Change the world" a listen. Nothing to lose if you don't like them. It's less "bluesy" than Danny I think but I only know what I like and I don't pretend it fits everyone.

i totally can relate to this song. my dad was killed in a car wreck when i was 16 in 2001 it was the most devastating day of my life. then i lost my first son in 2003 when he was just 10 days old. and i will not ever say goodbye because i will see them again!! RIP daddy and kaden!!!

I remember him from Idol and i just decided to look him up couple days ago. I can already tell I'll love his music. I enjoy rap and hip-hop , but i definitely make an exception for Danny, I really have no experience in other music genres, so i'm not sure what this is, lol ha, so if anyone has good artist suggestions do tell. I have listened to others, but i really don't enjoy them like Danny.

@RealPeopleOnDeck Danny has a special something. For me it's the quality/tone of his voice that just feels right. The only other artist I can recommend who has (to me) a similar, yet different, voice quality is Johnny Reid. You could try giving "Thank you" "Darlin" or "Change the world" a listen. Nothing to lose if you don't like them. It's less "bluesy" than Danny I think but I only know what I like and I don't pretend it fits everyone.

I love this song to death. My mom and I found it after my Auntie Jenny passed away and it brought us both to tears. My mom had cancer and was put into the hospital due to breast cancer and eventually metastatic breast cancer. She passed away Tuesday May 31st and this song came on the radio on our ride home from the hospital. I will never forget that day or this song. I love you mommy <3 R.I.P. Marie Coffelt <3

This song reminds me of my older sister passing away, the pain still isn't real, and I wish that she was back with us. I know she will always be in our hearts, but I never got to say good bye to her before I deployed to Iraq. I MISS YOU BOO WITH ALL MY HEART!!!

This song says so much for me that I can't put into words.. This song came out on CMT 2 weeks after my mother passed away unexpectidly on Fathers Day 2010. It will be a year this 20th of June.. I have said so many of the phrases that girl says in the begininning of this song.... This song is soooo true, everyday it hurts as bad or even worse. I pray that it will get better but I get nothing. I just wish there was a manual for dealing with this or how to go on. Love u mom 2/15/43-6/20/10..

This is a beautiful song. After losing my son a little over a year ago, this helps put into words what I feel in my heart. Thank you Danny for putting out this song. It is helping me heal and I know it will help many others who have lost someone close to them.

This song was played at the local annual police memorial service yesterday. That was the first time I had heard it. This is now one of my favorite songs. I lost my father in the line of duty 20 years ago, the pain never goes away.

The most UNDERRATED contestant ever on American Idol. He deserved to win it, but I think people stop voting for him for the wrong reasons.
If anything less, the expression on Simon's Cowell face when Gokey got eliminated said it all... That American Idol Edition will be remembered as the most unfair in terms of final outcome.
Kris Allen wins because Adam Lambert is gay and because people got tired of Danny's inspiring story, started to trash it and forgot how amazing he actually is
