Dave was also a group singer with great groups such as the Pearls. Valentines, Paragons and Jesters. I don't know if he was with any of them at there peak or if he was a fill in or a permanent member of any of them. I do know that he could sing. Just play the "B" side of Happy Organ and listen to the great R&B song" Love Me As I Love You."
im going through hard times & depression, i remember my grandpa used to play this when he took me to elementary school, i have to say this song brightens my night & day thank you for posting this God bless you, im snapping my fingers to this beautiful piece, thank you!!!! you are helpful
@dvadabest - you are very welcome! I'm happy that this song brightens your day! Music can really help us to feel better. Thanks for the kind words- God Bless you too, Ron
This "Oldie but Goodie" is AWESUM!!! Got me kickin' up my heels & just feelin' HAPPY & Dancin'! What a great catchy tune!!! THANKS for the wonderful memories!
@Curtlee007- I wasn't sure if it was the original or not. I have it on a CD. But if you don't like it don't listen to it. I wasn't trying to fool anyone. So be don't be so judgmental. Ron
@rwells47 I agree Ron,Baby's organ part's are essentially the same, the sound is great, the only difference is the guitar break/fade out (no quibble here about it being "pentatonic minor")instead of the sax . What I didnt know was that the original was on Chess after the era of their legendary 50s Chicago blues recordings.
@ROTH1944 This was my line of thinking when I 1st heard it..I thought, "i'm not too sure of this" but after playing it about 20 times, I was hooked.lol Love it!!
Love this song. XD Did you know that a watered down version of this song is played as the background music on during the second part of Planet Sonata in the video game Ristar?
Between 1:16 and 1:27 in the time index during this video, there are three women dancing onscreen.. who are they?/what was the video that originally appeared in?
@californiadragyn I mean I can see why lots of the music from our age is not taken seriously, and I'm sorry if I lashed out at u in particular but jeez it just irritates me the way people today look at our generation like some sort of lesser form of the "golden years" which by looking at some of this music I don't see why really it's not any better than some of the bubble gum pop that people seem to have buying power in both generations... ahem *cough* 60's are worse *cough*
@californiadragyn but there are still really good singers in our age and people that want to send a message through their music and not just "objectified" people who only thrive on that... but on the plus side, Beyoncé, is an strong, confident woman who doesn't care what they think of her and just does what she likes to do, has fun, of course by society's rules and to maintain self-image most of the artist out there should be more careful with the signals and examples they set for their fans.
Beyonce' Knowles in the center and the other two dancers were perfectly cast from hundreds of women who tried out for the part. They danced together in a music video from which this clip came called...uhhh...uhhh..."Single ladies."
Thanks for bringing back all the great memories of "yesteryear" like you do in all of your videos !! You do such a great job....keep on rocking and rolling, and thanks for sharing with us....Marlene
