  • Can't stand that this gets NO AIRPLY in LA these days. Are you listening KRTH?

  • tuuune

  • @komatman Do you have a happy organ?

  • This song is related to 'shortenin bread'

  • this brings back memories of my youth and I'm an old man 70 yrs old

  • Dave was also a group singer with great groups such as the Pearls. Valentines, Paragons and Jesters. I don't know if he was with any of them at there peak or if he was a fill in or a permanent member of any of them. I do know that he could sing. Just play the "B" side of Happy Organ and listen to the great R&B song" Love Me As I Love You."

  • yes .... really classic :s

  • I remeber playing my fake piano on our hi-fi to this song as a kid!!!

  • im going through hard times & depression, i remember my grandpa used to play this when he took me to elementary school, i have to say this song brightens my night & day thank you for posting this God bless you, im snapping my fingers to this beautiful piece, thank you!!!! you are helpful

  • @nubs1946- you're very welcome!

  • This is the song you play when you are successful................

  • Who was the idiat who didn't like this?.....most classic roller rink tune of all time....

  • This "Oldie but Goodie" is AWESUM!!! Got me kickin' up my heels & just feelin' HAPPY & Dancin'! What a great catchy tune!!! THANKS for the wonderful memories!

  • @Yzabeaux - you are very welcome! Ron

  • original or not . What a great sond

  • @mgrafvonhohenfels- thank you for your nice comment! Sometimes an artist can produce a remake of a hit and the remake can be very good! Ron

  • FYI - For the original, search for the upload by "OldiesButGoodies62".

  • @still like itCurtlee007

  • @Curtlee007- I wasn't sure if it was the original or not. I have it on a CD. But if you don't like it don't listen to it. I wasn't trying to fool anyone. So be don't be so judgmental. Ron

  • @rwells47 I agree Ron,Baby's organ part's are essentially the same, the sound is great, the only difference is the guitar break/fade out (no quibble here about it being "pentatonic minor")instead of the sax . What I didnt know was that the original was on Chess after the era of their legendary 50s Chicago blues recordings.

  • @100proofboogie - thanks!

  • @rwells47 good for you!! there's thousands of other channels and songs, so >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LOL

  • WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A ORGAN WOULD BE IN ROCK & ROLL ?? THIS IS THE SONG STARTED ME REALLY LIKING INSTRUMENTALS!!! THANKS "BABY".............

  • @ROTH1944 This was my line of thinking when I 1st heard it..I thought, "i'm not too sure of this" but after playing it about 20 times, I was hooked.lol Love it!!

  • the is NOT the original

  • Rinky dink lol

  • That guitar playing pentatonic minor is completely out of place in this song.

  • @53moreHP oh no it's not!!

  • A real toe-tapper Ron. Some great animation ! ! !

  • @James0022ify- thanks Jim!

  • Love this song. XD Did you know that a watered down version of this song is played as the background music on during the second part of Planet Sonata in the video game Ristar?

  • correction "all the single ladies" by Beyoncé and not ""Put a ring on it" although it could also have that name... where did my first comment go?...

  • i prefer the dartells version

  • Between 1:16 and 1:27 in the time index during this video, there are three women dancing onscreen.. who are they?/what was the video that originally appeared in?

  • @californiadragyn- I don't know! I found the dancing clips on a site that had different animated effects. Ron

  • @californiadragyn all the single ladies by beyoncé!

  • @californiadragyn I mean I can see why lots of the music from our age is not taken seriously, and I'm sorry if I lashed out at u in particular but jeez it just irritates me the way people today look at our generation like some sort of lesser form of the "golden years" which by looking at some of this music I don't see why really it's not any better than some of the bubble gum pop that people seem to have buying power in both generations... ahem *cough* 60's are worse *cough*

  • @californiadragyn but there are still really good singers in our age and people that want to send a message through their music and not just "objectified" people who only thrive on that... but on the plus side, Beyoncé, is an strong, confident woman who doesn't care what they think of her and just does what she likes to do, has fun, of course by society's rules and to maintain self-image most of the artist out there should be more careful with the signals and examples they set for their fans.

  • @californiadragyn

Beyonce' Knowles in the center and the other two dancers were perfectly cast from hundreds of women who tried out for the part. They danced together in a music video from which this clip came called...uhhh...uhhh..."Single ladies."

  • @californiadragyn beyonce- single ladies

  • @californiadragyn That's Beyonce (and two dancers) from the video to the song "single ladies."

  • Cool! Thanks for posting this! :-)

  • @gopherscout- you are very welcome! Ron

  • Move it baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Still 2 hot 4 words!!!!!!

  • The piano lead-in is a bit ironic.

Loved it 'in the day'... love it now!

  • @ryanspeed Correction. The 'finest cheese'...and yes, they have trouble processing it these days (lol).

  • A fine example of early cheese.

  • @paulj0557 True, but compared to today's music (which is mostly crap) this song holds up pretty well.

  • LUF IT...I GOT HIS BEST OF CD FOR IN MY CAR ......

  • this si a treat!!!! TY!

  • @surfcottage - I'm glad you liked it Nancy! Ron
