  • yowwwww!!!!!!!!!

  • this was spectacular! hogan should be this loud all the time. ;)

  • For anyone who desires a biblical understanding of the gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the scribd website that is listed on my channel.

  • A relationship between you and God must be established and then your prayers will flow as naturally as breathing, and God will hear and answer them.

  • "what does that make me?" loves how he throws that line in there, pretty sure only once...awesome worship/praise band, very gifted. Come as you are, its what's inside that makes you beautiful outside, pretty sure God works from the inside out. I don't think Jesus was hanging out with all the plastic people with their plastic steeple. He spoke most harshly to those who were religious, the Sunday best for church crowd, who I don't think realize it's about a personal relationship with Jesus.

  • Musical genius!

  • I think David is beautiful inside and out...people who bash Christians who don't look like they think everyone should remind me of the Christian song "I want to be a clone". Jesus was a non-conformist and a rebel, ok? Did he go along with the crowd? Did he discriminate based on looks? No, no, no.

  • @DarkAdaptedEyes AMEN and AMEN!!!

  • the violin came out strong and proud in this performance. gotta love that.

  • IN this video he needs a hair cut.

  • @RingLord3 yeah, he really needs it so he would look better..=)

  • With God, day is brighter and even the night is lighter than it's hue, which means that even in our darkest moments, it's not as dark as it appears. Psalm 139, 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

In Christ God came to take a look himself. What was lost is now found. Those looking for Messiah had to wait quietly

  • Hey he's talking figuritivly not literaly so lay off the night isn't literaly brighter god just makes it seem brighter gosh David Crowder has great lyrics and I will always be a fan as should you the song sends a great message and is prasing the lord isn't that all that matters

  • What an overrated awful lyricist Dave Crowder is.

The lyrics in this song don't even make English sense at all. Please listen to what's being sung - not just a great tune (it is a great tune, let's face it!).

We should be sheep for Jesus, not blind sheep who like this rubbush because others do!

Have your opinion when you've read the lyrics - please!

  • IDK about others, but I listen to the song becuz I like the lyrics, not the tune. I believe it becuz I do, not becuz others do. Anyone who knows me personally knows I usually run from what others think is popular. I am definitely non-conformist!! No judgement on others, what's right for them in that respect is cool with me. But please don't judge Christians as one group. We are FAR from that! Peace :)

  • Oh indeed? Would you mind actually pointing out what's wrong with the lyrics other than the fact that they apparently suck? You're walking the line between complaint and trolling, here.

  • Here are the lyrics to verse 1:

The day is brighter here with You

The night is lighter than its hue

    Would lead me to believe

    Which leads me to believe

The problem is his command of English and also his perceived lack of understanding. Firstly, God made the darkness; night & day. So David is saying that night isn't quite as dark as it looks. This not only doesn't make sense in English - it IS as dark as it looks, that's why it's dark!! (point 2 coming in the next entry)

  • Please keep an open mind and learn to read the whole song and compare it to its separate parts.

    "

The day is brighter here with You

The night is lighter than its hue

    Would lead me to believe

    Which leads me to believe"

God makes everything glorious and filled with his light, even the night. In Genesis God's radiance filled the darkness. "The night is lighter than its hue" The hue is black, but is lightened by God's light. David isnt saying that the darkness isnt dark, but made light by God.

  • oh gosh! go make ur own lyrics than!!n

  • And point 2 is Q) how can somethinbg God made not be perfect? A) It is perfect. S ho wcan it look not as dark as God wanted it to?

Peope need to read what they're singing more and be less like sheep. Don't get me wrong, his melodies are generally brilliant, but the lyrics... Try READING Here Is Our King. Awesome Chorus, but the lyrics... "From where ever searching comes to look itself". Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. God bless & peace.

  • hahaha you are kidding right? please tell me you are joking with everyone! read Psalm 139 brother... and plus... the lyrics make perfect sense if you just let them flow into each other. the verse flows right into the chorus perfectly. Also, don't criticize a musician for writing songs that are pleasing to God. that is ridiculous.

  • but at the end of the day God does make everything glorious

  • So you don't like his lyrics. At least he's singing for the Lord! Lay off. Do the same.

  • Ow, what an intelligent scathing reply.

    Oooo I'm wounded.

His lyrics don't glorify the Lord, they're not even Engish!

  • Oooh, ouch... so they have to be English to glorify God? Wow... and I thought other nations could worship Him too... or did you not think that through? ;)

  • Let's wrap things up now. I'm afraid it seems you've lost you objectivity. It needs to make sense in whatever language it is written. Hence the English.

    Hope the shearing doesn't hurt.

    Peace.

  • Before badmouthing David Crowder band and their mastery of English, please check yours. The amount of spelling errors just makes your point seem less valid.

    God Bless.

  • You're right. There are mistakes aplenty in my comments and I take your critique on board.

    Blessings and peace.

  • You hypocrite. You say "Blessings and Peace" but you cant even see past David Crowder's lyrics to see that he is praising the Lord! and who are you to say they dont glorify the Lord?? Matthew 7, maybe you should take the plank out of your own eye before you judge others.

  • @schwa363 btw, telling someone to pull the plank out of their eyes is making you hypicritical, be a child of god have joy without passing judgement, were here to uplift and heal, not push down when were longing to move forward, god bles

  • @adamrothman930 your right i was wrong to be so quick to call a hypocrite, i was mad that day. jesus loves you.

  • waaah!!i just love his hair!! i tried to have an afro hair like him but..nevermind..lol.

nice and such creative stage performance he did here..

  • 27but the foolish things of the world did God choose, that the wise He may put to shame; and the weak things of the world did God choose that He may put to shame the strong; 28and the base things of the world, and the things despised did God choose, and the things that are not, that the things that are He may make useless -- 29that no flesh may glory before Him; Love you.

  • "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him."

    * As a brother in Christ - let me ask you in a respectful way - wouldn't you consider this referring to the fact that Jesus did not come majestically as the King that the Jews were hoping for to overthrow the Roman rule? That (outwardly) he was a a carpenter by trade and not "attractive" in the sense that he was not from royal heritage (that they could recognize) and ready to save Israel?

  • The Bible never said anything about Jesus not being the best looking man around. Just saying.

  • the important thing is the beauty of david crowder's heart to glorify God thru his God-given talent. that's the real beauty! we should not focus on the looks of the singer but we should rather focus our eyes on the "Beautiful One" no other than Jesus!

  • you don't like singers based on their looks? haha. yes Dave Crowder is a unique-looking man, but he's an amazing and incredibly anointed musician/worship leader!! <3

  • @aowrya I LOVE the way he looks!!

i think his hair is AMAZING!!! it's like cotton candy!

  • That is David Crowder, yes he does look a little stranger than most, but man does he Rock! And he writes his own songs!

  • the mix didn't really mix.. But the song was overall pretty good. It can get pretty annoying though honestly if you listen to his album

  • yea. drums and beat so loud ://

    his album is top notch

  • Great song. Great concept for a live performance. Terrible mix. I hope the console operator was fired.

  • bwack has no beard

  • This i a nice song , glory to god .

  • I love this song :)

  • wow! he's real cool!

    awesome lead!

  • what a super talented guy!

  • I'm a good deal older than DCB fans, but I like this band - so does my daughter. I'm curious though ... I graduated Baylor U in '81 - and there was a guy there who hung out with a couple of my group of friends ... quite a few musicians in the group - his name was David Crowder. Sans the wild man hair and beard, there is a resemblance. This David Crowder's a tad old to be the son of the David I knew ... wonder if he's a nephew or something? Could be no relation, but seems a big coincidence.

  • There is a slight possibillity that the david crowder you knew was THE david crowder. it would make sense.

  • David Crowder was born July 8, 1974. (if that helps)

  • Also, I'm wondering where you recorded/got this vid from (if u don't mind me asking)

  • (Ignore if it's just my computer's error) Can you post this again? It says it's "no longer available"

  • seems to be working here

  • TODAY it's working! Thanks for the "help" rhony72!

  • We sing this sometimes at Chapel.

  • YEH! DAVID CROWDER!MY BUDAY! -.- not rely.. please dont hurt me. :(

  • the David Crowder band rocks, he is also really funny..look up davied crowder evil squirrle

  • Great Song!!!

  • He has such an amazing voice..it's unusual but so great to listen to.

  • crowder looks like such an awkward tall goofball but man i love him, God has blessed that man

  • If you play music, you'll know there is a bassist ther. They usually stay at the back. Stop the video at 0:25 and 0:45 second; you see him.

  • aw yea. i didnt noticed it. my bad XD

  • wow! no bassist? kewl

  • Wat?? The bassist is there?

  • Mikey D of course.

    Great rhythm section.

  • awesome band

  • Oh man. One of the best moments of the whole night. Probably the best actually. Awesome.

  • Casting Crown, Mercy Me, Toby Mac, everyone!!! I totally admire all these talented Christian artists who use their talents all for His glory and not after fame and money.

  • sweeeeeet

  • i'm in one of those white suits!

  • Are those hunting targets?!?!?

  • i'm an absolute switchfoot fan, from the early years to now, and I find dcb just as fantastic in another genre

  • I love David Crowder Band!!!!!!! God bless you!!!

  • do you see the stand up ovation at the end?

  • The newest member of the band is only 21!

  • DOB - WikiAnswers says July 8, 1974 - almost 34 years old

  • how old is he?

  • donycleto, Well I am not sure really how old he is but I can tell you that he started the band in 1995 in Waco, TX while he was going to Baylor University so, if you think around 29-34. They have been around a long time. That is why I love Christian Music you dont have to be young to be popular or good. Look at Casting Crowns and MercyMe, some of there members are not young. Go David Crowder Band!!! Great Song.

  • thanks!

yeah, I love MercyMe and I know those guys are not young at all lol

  • haha... DC*B goes green!

  • So awesome! DCB rocks ^___^ They are awesome in concert! I seen em 2 times, can't wait to see em again. I love their music. beautiful lyrics too, amen!

  • I absolutely LOVED the flowers and grass and deer thing during the song. I thought it was an amazing idea!! It fits perfectly with the song! GREAT JOB!!!!

  • SO great - LOVE these guys!!!

  • Come on.. the flowers and deers and sun thing is SOOO David Crowder. I can't see any doubt that it was Crowder's idea.

  • I like it, even with the sudden adding of the flowers and deers to the stage!

  • I was one of the guys in the white jump suits who brought out the grass and flowers and such, and I can say with no doubt it was Crowder's idea. We even went outside in the heat to practice to make sure we got it perfect because he wanted it to be that way. If you saw it live you may appriciate it more, and I do think it was meant to be cheezy but cool at the same time, typical Crowder. All I know is that the compliments were pooring in all night long to all of us involved.

  • Sweet! Way to go!

  • well to clear up any confusion, it was definately their idea. I was one of the people in the white suits, and i can tell you that david and the band designed and planned all of that. They were the ones who told us what to do and what went where.

  • they are so SIIIICKKKK

  • yea! if you knew anything about dave and the guys, the set design is SO them. right up their alley and congruent with their personalities.

best performance of this song i've heard so far. good job boys!

  • I didn't think the dove awards could make one of the best bands in the world look that cheezy. But they did, Great Job dove awards, you make all of us who like christian music look insane

  • FYI the band was super involved with the design of the set and concept. Seeing it live was anything but cheezy. They were great and it looked great.

  • thats not what I heard...

  • I'm pretty sure the concept was meant to be cheesy. Anyone watching that knows they can't be serious. It's suppose to be light-hearted and fun. If you know the band at all - you would know they're the type that would do such a thing.

  • Dude....I was there and all of that was Crowder's idea.....I talked to him and BWack after the show....GMA tried to convince him to not do it....

  • well if thats the case, cause I had heard that the band knew nothing about it and such, but if they were involved then that changes everything, my bad,

  • my thoughts exactly.

  • That's fantastic.

  • Wow! Praise to the Lord, who truly made everything so glorious for us on earth. They added such a touching spin in their performance!
