Have you not played WC3/Frozen Throne? The Elves were badly hurt after the Scourge of Quel'Thalas, and ask the Alliance for help. Unfortunately, this dickcheese was the man in charge at the time, and basically told them to suck their own dicks, so they ragequit and Kael'thas allied with Illidan,
@ChristopherTheKnight I don't think so. Garithos was only leading the remnants of Lordaeron's army, not the whole Alliance. The dwarves in his army would have probably left, but the relations between Khaz Modan and the remaining human nations would probably have remained strong.
The remnants of Lordaeron's army pretty much WAS the Alliance for that period of time. And had Garithos continued to live, I'm sure he'd have found some great way to piss off the Bronzebeards like he did the Sunstriders.
@unshakenpeace he's actually the best one and the most interesting. garithos was naturally born a coward and an asshole, arthas's soul was stolen, changing his whole personality, but what i love about the dark knight arthas is that he's very loyal to lich king, kel thuzas and some helpers he had, also saving his comrade near frozen throne caverns. i think he had much more of a discipline and honor then his normal self, who was full of ego and wanted only vengeance.

People call Daelin Proudmoore a racist as well... which is absolutely ridiculous. However, it is okay to call Garithos a racist as he really was. (more speciesist?) However, Garithos was still effectively fighting the Scourge and retaking the land for the living, so I would think some character flaws could be overlooked. It was only the part of the Blood Elves that got people to hate Garithos. Garithos' prejudice against everything(except for Dwarves, that's fucked) was justifiable.

@governorderek..boy keep reading...the alliance is not soo 'holy' as you think, they commit war crimes (camp tarujo for example) the old alliance was more noble than the one you guys have now, yes orcs tried to kill humans BUT because of their burning legion curse when they got away from the curse human still attacked them.. the few humans understood this like Jaina. Horde Faction opened the doors of weaker races to actually stand up and say no to bigger armies.

I look at thier history, I understand the blood-curse made them uber agressive, but I also see that the orcs were agressive in the first place, the demon blood only enhanced it. I see the horde tried to wipe out the entire Human race from the face of azeorth.
I have read Varian's lore and concluded that he is quite good.

@DrTheKay Of course you could use the taurajo camp massacure as an example of Alliance Evil, but if you read the Alliance verison of the quest you will realize that it was a military target because it trained troops for the horde, in essence it was a recruiting ground, the Alliance general, General Hawthorne actually ordered that the Alliance leave a gap open for the non-combatants to escape, but the quillbores killed them in the end, which was NOT intended by the Alliance.

@GovernorDerek I completely agree with you. Theramore had to give up its' neutrality (Well not neutrality, but I think its Hostile, unfriendly, neutral, supporting, allied. Theramore was supporting the Alliance, but it was not an entirely a base for their operations. Now it has become one. In Cataclysm the world is torn apart by war. Plus, the horde were pushing the Night Elves out of their sacred forests, which provoked the Stormwind Military to take actions. I would like you add you to my list

@DrTheKay And the looting that went on afterwars, yeah that was a violation of Alliance war edict, The ones you see looting were actually freed crinimals from the stocks used as troops because the Alliance was a bit short on manpower at the time no doubt due to Multiple fronts to fight upon.
So in the alliance questline, you round them up and place them under arrest either to rot in jail or be executed.
Also read up Varian's lore before you bash him, ok? Be an adult about this. come on.
