  • I like her Mandarin song because of her funny pronunciation, very lovely . Anyway , she is a lovely singer.

  • ♦♦♦ ATTENTION ♦♦♦

  • @KikeEatShit Her Mandarin song is really good. I don't think she know Chinese very much but I really like her Mandarin song.

  • @KikeEatShit Hello u China internet spy needs music too. Hoping that u enjoy the beautiful song Dear China Internet police

  • @KikeEatShit U China internet spy, how r u ? R u still alive ?

  • @KikeEatShit 中共网警您好

  • I love this song.

I have yet to hear as single Vienna Teng song I dislike.

  • @L33tprincess I agree. She is such an amazing singer, yet people watch Justin Bieber (ugh) more than her. She is MUCH better.

  • @PaleAsh i agree!! that or the worse metal and rock sounds classified as 'music'.

  • the studio producers have me totally pissed on this one. Vienna can sing much better than this and she and most people know it. To allow this crappy production to be released is ignorant and unprofessional. She should have re-recorded. She should have demanded it, as well - she is pure talent and her voice can be flawless on a given run through - they let this one go and thus it became a half measure - this song should have come out much better - few listening to this version would know

  • Wow where did this amazing talent come from??

  • i think she's so incredibly undder-rated....

seriously i think she needs more attention, she's so great but no one i know has ever heard of her! =/ i guess her fans are a very special, exclusive group =D

  • 2 people died from dehydration after they voted for this video.

  • This is also one of my favorite songs by her. I'm also in love with Recessional and St. Stephen's Cross. And a whole bunch of other ones. :]

  • I love this song! Vienna Teng is just so talented. @-@

  • this is beautttaa ful :D

  • Brilliant ^^

  • By a chance miracle I was up late one night probably 8 years ago and chanced to watch a late night talk show, for the first and only time in my life, and Vienna Teng performed her song Gravity. I fell absolutely in love with her music. Drought is the 2nd song of hers that I heard, and it cemented my love and respect for this amazing artist. She uses words to paint a vivid and emotional landscape the listener travels through. An incredible gift! And to think that she was told she couldn't sing!

  • CXM, greeting. Apology for not exploring your channel previously. A real amiss of me. Will make amend, that's a promise - Apple.

  • This is possibly my favorite song by Vienna Teng. Absolutely breathtaking. What I love about her is that her songs actually seem to mean something to her, and you can hear her emotions as she sings. I think this is an amazing quality in a singer. I love this song especially!

  • She is maybe the most creative and talented musician and artist I have ever heard. She is the ultimate storyteller, weaving a tapestry of words; Engaging the listener/audience with intriguing and thought provoking lyrics. I love her dearly.

  • The lyrics are so powerful... gave me the shivers... I love it!

  • The drought's coming to get youu <3

    x

  • She has a really pretty voice and meaningful lyrics.

  • Vienna is a very diverse singer. She can sing pretty much any type of song, but I sense that she would like to sing songs which she has feelings for rather than songs that will just sell. Although a brilliant singer, she is an even better poet. Her lyrics are refreshing from the normal commercial stuff you find on the market and powerful. "Passage" for example, is haunting.

  • I seriously think that anything made by Vienna would be simply amazing. Her talent is outstanding.

I love her, music like this move you along with the notes and lyrics, I makes me wanna sing to it but sadly I'm not even close to Vienna.I don't even notice time passing by, when the song started it was about the forty-five seconds, when I looked at the timer again it was about 3 minutes and some seconds, when it ended I wanted more. =)

Keep the amazing job Vienna Teng!

  • @wisefool83 That is very true! Her singing enchants with both gentle voice and haunting lyrics. To be honest, Passage and No Gringo sended shivers down my spine, just like Drought does. I'm kinda happy she isn't popular in the way of the media-lovers, because I'd rather have her like this than that she becomes popular and changes >< (I know I sound selfish, but I don't care XD)

  • @wisefool83 OMG that song went through the bone. It's.... extraordinary! ♥

  • 72,000 views beg to differ. Don't listen if you don't like it.

  • one of my favorite songs by this artist...it's so enchanting and beautiful, it's just so peaceful and sorrowful at the same time.

  • She is one of my favorite songers, and my most favorite female singer, I listen to at least 1 of her songs everyday.

  • singers I mean :P, typos

  • Of all the wonderful Teng poetry, this is the my favorite. "The taste of dried up hopes in my mouth and the landscape of Mary in desperate drought....I would know love again if I had faith enough" Even as a devout Catholic I hear the cry of Job asking, demanding, an answer for the problem of Pain. Truly amazing voice, creative energy, memorable, even gorgeous melody. Thank you Vienna.

  • It's the "landscape of merry and desperate drought", but apart from that, yes ... enchanting.

  • I've listened to this several times, with and without headphones. I looked up the lyrics. It doesn't say "Mary in desperate drought" It says "merry and desperate drought".

  • I love Vienna Teng. Her music and voice is so enchanting and beautiful. Beauty in Poetry... :)

  • I love the words, omg

  • Poetry. Pure Poetry...Her voice...the ethereal piano and the eloquence of the lyrics. Magical.

  • OMG!!! This send chills all thru my body! She is, for me, a female version of Leonard Cohen...my favorite poet/songwriter of all time.

  • There are so man songs she's recorded that I love, but this is the one I keep coming back to. "Merry and desperate drought" - just brilliant. Maybe it's the English major in me :)

  • She's great.

  • This is amazing. Really really beautiful. The first song I heard by her, and I'm already addicted! :D

  • when is she gonna record a studio version of 'maya'?!?

  • ... so angels, inside is the only way out

  • I love this. Is she singing about writer's block by any chance? That's just what I hear from this.

  • From what I've heard, yes, that's what the song's about.

  • The lyrics are EXTRAORDINARY.

  • amazing

  • i dont usually listen to music like this, was a chance that i put it on and i am completely in love with her voice!

  • absolutely lovely.

  • i agree. vocal training can give your voice an over prcticed sound. im in a chior so im speaking against my self and not just saying it. Vienna's voice is natural and pretty.

  • lovely. nough said.

  • I love her voice so much. It's so beautiful. I think that while opera training and even vocal training can make voices "stronger" it just gives them a harsh, practiced sort of tang and I don't like that. Vienna has such a natural, beautiful voice.

  • *even normal vocal training, like the choral kind

  • EXELENT!!!! PRECIOSO!! ZELO LEP!

  • i respect what you said.

But i think her voice is what makes her unique and EXTREMELY loveable.

  • Her voice is very smooth and the accent provides her with a unique sound. Her poetry 'are' flowing enough to captivate thousands of people. I'm just being honest when I ask what is the point of degrading an artist online. Your only asking for problems. Keep your negative opinions for a debate please.

  • Oh please. Pleasance is allowed to give his opinion just as much as anyone. Comment boxes are for opinions, positive or negative. Not for ass kissing. Live with it.

  • Thus, we are allowed to give our "opinions" and reply to disagree with pleasance; and I seriously doubt that people would "kiss ass" on some video for no reason.

  • her poety is definetly not a joke! O,o it has much deeper meaning sometimes and the words she uses are great! I think you are really not right...

  • .. as a living honestly! that is what is not? I like much.

  • Pleasance, a butterfly is weak, a snowflake is weak, a flower is weak, but they are all still lovely. In your mind her voice may have no strength, but there are other ways of judging beauty, and her voice is extremely lovely - maybe you need to train your ears a bit. I'm just being honest here.

  • You say accented as if that's a bad thing. Sure, there are ugly accents, but hers is lovely so it just seems bigoted to criticize that.

  • This is incredible stuff, you gotta love it. There's not a thing wrong with this piece.

  • You know I went on the Britney Spears video and recommended they look up Vienna Teng if they want to liten to real music. Naturally I got cussed out by a 12 year old.

  • lol i bet it was a guy too

  • my favorite song from her :D

  • Ohhh, my God!!!! I just love her voice and music! A great talent, overlooked by music industry. Perhaps for not being commercial... Thanks for posting the video!

    Greetings from Romania!

  • I love Vienna's music. Her voice, the lyrics, the originality... it is amazing!! I'm surprised she isn't better known!

  • i just saw her in concert last night at a private party. amazing!

  • how does she do it? her voice and lyrics are amazing! i do think if she had music videos would help. also if her songs were on the radio. deadliest catch helped her.

  • By looking at this, I again noticed that Vienna Teng has no proper music videos for any of her songs (well, I don't know any), but maybe that would help her music getting more attention.

  • And if people spread word on the internet. I think I want to start doing that.

  • this is beautiful

  • an EARTH ANGEL. such a beautiful voice and lyrics

  • Awesome use of imagery in lyrics to complement the power of her voice.

  • Swimfree21 it is erics song :)

  • I can almost taste the dryness of a summer's drought...Amazing.

  • I just found out about her a couple of days ago, this has made a lifetime fan of me to be sure.

  • why are you worthless?

  • Because you lack... vitamin c.

  • Because you lack... vitamin c.

  • a sad yet wondrous song, it the sense that it enlightens you to reflect on life and to realise how worthless people like me are

  • you are not worthless *poke* Accept it, ne? ^_^

  • Aww. How cute. ^o^ Very nice of you. : )

  • childchewingcheese why do you think that you are worthless, if i may ask?

  • Vienna is quite unique and talented. Almost seems as if she's a bit influenced by another one of my favs - Peter Gabriel.

  • exellent ... 5 stars

  • ginny favorite...vienna teng....^^

  • it touches my soul

  • iv loved this song since i was littler.

  • Erik's Song

  • @feythdemacedo I love that song...I could find NOTHING online chord-wise for it so I had to kind of wing it figuring out a guitar transcription. I posted it on one tab site and now someone's spread it all over lol

  • @feythdemacedo yep, one of the most beautiful songs!!! ♥

  • Very nice images for the song. Vienna Teng is great.

  • really nice song.. this is one of my fave songs ever.. and vienna is just one of my few fave artists

.. she's a total package - great singer, songwriter and musician

  • Wow, what a passionate and moving song. Great video, too! :)

  • wow, such a heartmoving video, i loved the way you used the song with those pictures.

  • Wow this is amazing! The images are so emotive. Mixed with Vienna Teng, there's no way you can't achieve success here.

This reminds me of a short story. Every word fits perfectly. It's called "the lamp at noon."

All about a couple who are being torn apart by a drought. Just wow.

  • thanks so much for the upload! i love the music and the pictures you put together.

and i was wondering if you could let me know where i can get the pictures you used? the one with a woman sitting down (around 1:12) and the other one with two people sort of held in mid-air (1:26). I would love to have names of the artists and the pictures.

    thanks!!

  • The more I listen to this song, the more I love it.

  • love it!!! X]

  • great video!

  • Wow! What a great viedoe I love this song!

  • Thank you very much for that. I notice that it is terribly difficult to any ANY song as a down load able mp3 thingie, but every song has a video. I'm Just saying... how ever obsure the song, or however tight a grasp a musician has on their thing, just by citing copyright things, dude.

  • I'm not a hug fan of her other songs but for some reason this song really speaks to me. AWESOME.

  • Amazing as always Feyth. I always seemed to like this song when you posted it but the images only make it even better.

  • Ahh, dear Feyth. I expected nothing less from you. Five stars does not ammount to your expertise, but its the best I can do....And please dont laugh over my username. I'm changing it as soon as I figure out how.

  • wow! nice video....
