@lexmark136 they are teaching the babies to throw mud on themselves. this is what elephants do in the wild to prevent sunburn. without mothers, no one would teach them this so the humans have to teach them.
Hi and thanks for posting! I foster 2 babies at this orphanage so to see a recent video is so nice. Sadly I just read that two of those babies died around the time you might have filmed them and it was Kungu and Barseloi who passed away on Oct 13 and 18th, from pneumonia, diarrhea and sadness at loosing their moms. I wonder who was who in this group, if it was little Kungu who I fostered. So distressing but in a way I am happy at least that they had a chance at some happiness at this orphanage.
Hey MYLANNZ, thanks for your message. That is so sad to hear about those elephants. I didn't get the names of the ones in our group but we were there in Mid-September so I hate to say it probably was them....
