  • Merry Christmas!

  • The best Christmas film ever.

  • Omg, my 3 yr old and I always watch this together.... looooooove this movie!!

  • Christmas isn't Christmas until you have watched this movie! It's a wee tradition in my house that we watch this on Christmas Eve night! Love it..,Albert Finney is by far the best Scrooge ever!

  • I'm as giddy a a drunken man!!! MY absolute favorite part of thismove!!

  • for so many down at Christmas, if they listen to these lyrics, they will find you can always begin again and make you life better...begin again!

  • i never watch any other versuion and yes this is my fav scene too always bring tear to my eye

  • beautiful....5 stars for albert finney

  • This is and always will be the best version of A Christmas Carol. I don't believe any other actor has been able to capture the truly changed man Scrooge became as well as Albert Finney did. When he starts dancing around his room and throwing his papers around, it's like watching someone who has truly undergone a great ordeal and come out alive at the end.

  • my all time favorite musical adaptation of "A Christmas Carol", Albert FInney is one of my top favorite Scrooges next to Alastair Sims

  • I may have said it before, but this is the only version of Scrooge's conversion I ever believed.

  • @TheBamMargeraFan

Gotta read the book man... Scrooge thought he was being noble. He loves his money so much that he refuses to spend it on things like decoration. It's his thought that poor people waste their money and thats why they are poor. So by being frugal and spartan he is being a good example. Instead it just makes him old and bitter.

  • So many curtains... It's like someone at Bed Bath and Beyond took advantage of Scrooge...

  • This film brings back warm memories. The best musical version of Dickens' "ghostly little book" ever. Finney was superb in this - and this sequence never ceases to make me weep.

    Merry Christmas!!!

  • best version of scrooge ever made....bar none..........makes this part his own

  • This is my favorite version of Scrooge!

  • I love this song, it's probably one of the ones I sing the most from this movie (with the possible exception of "Thank You Very Much" and "I Hate People" XD)

  • My most favorite Film ever. This is favourite part - his chance to begin again. Never get tired of watching this film. Yes, Albert Finney remains the best Scrooge.

  • @Evokeamemory This is one of my all-time favourite films too. I love it so much. It's so life-affirming and moving. I never tire of it and Albert Finney *is* the best Ebenezer Scrooge!

  • @Eurasian76 ...STILL my favourite film ever...if I don't watch the film then I'll feel that I've missed Christmas altogether...Merry Christmas :-)

  • Best Christmas Carrol ever made bar none. So many childhood memmories tied to this.

  • I laughed so hard. I kept hearing (forgive me) Mike Nelson and the MST3K robots in my head, riffing the scene:

"He should begin again with some interior decorating."

    "I'll take a pole-dancing class!"

    "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!"

    "It's February!"

    *Scrooge slides down the banister*

"Ooooh! Oh, no! No! Well, now he'll definitely never father children."

Again, this was all in my head. And I apologize for insulting what I'm sure is a lovely movie in it's own way.

  • My favorite scene this one is. It's such a poignant movie, such a brilliant story. Thank you so much for posting this, now my friends wont think I'm crazy when I break into song!

  • Doesn't even have to be christmas to enjoy this.

  • i feel like this after 10 pints of lager

  • One of the greatest films of all time. Merry Christmas everyone!

  • My favorite Christmas movie!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE! Thank you so much for posting it here. Albert Finney was the perfect Scrooge!

  • You're most welcome!

  • we did a show on the 27th of november in had thias song in it it was well good it was called an evening of song and dance xxxx

  • What a great performance by Finney and what a great musical. In Egypt, some 20 years ago, they used to run this version every christmas and I never forget it. Now they rarely run any foreign movies at all; nothing from the west should be admired anymore. Let's protect our traditions they would say,,, etc.

  • That's too bad. Hopefully that changes for the better.

  • wonderful

  • I sure can try. That segment is long, so the file might be large, but I will try.

  • can you please upload the scene where he falls through his grave into hell? i'd be so grateful.
