Double Fantasy was not the best album out there, but can you possibly see why? John had gone into taking care of Sean for the five year abscence from the music scene. He struggled with great personal demons that began to resurface, and some current ones too. He was extremely nervous about re-entering the whole scene; he hadn't done anything in five years! Combine all these factors, and what do you exect. Another "She Loves You"? Those days were gone.

Thank God he got whacked? Am I hearing this right? Do you even know what a brutal slaying John's death was? No, obviously not. People like you don't know what people like him fought for. Sure he had some opinions that were questionable at times, but his overall midset goal WAS to promote peace, love, and the whole great package, man. He was a loving father, husband, nephew, and many more great things. John had one hell of a life, so I suggest you do some research before verbally bashing him.

The brightest light in my life was covered up on December 8th, 1980. But his light still shines on. I went to New York City for John's Birthday with My Rickenbacker guitar like John's, and my battery powered guitar amp, i played for hours with hundreds of beatles fans all around John's Imagine Circle, it blew my mind how universal his music is, and how powerful and vast his message has become. God Bless you John Lennon, If only you and Paul could have had a good cry together.

Cheap Trick was orginally going to do the backing for the album but it was decided that it sounded too much like Cheap Trick with John just fronting the band.

This album...this song marked the starting point of John's new life. He was back and better than ever. He made amends for all his past mistakes and dealt openly with all his demons. One just wonders what John would've done if he had lived to see his 70th birthday....30 years of musical magic, peace, and love to share with the world.
