I wish the clip had been cut two seconds later, to allow us to hear Banfield say, "Gates, is it my imagination, or is Carter in there teaching procedures to a college student?"
@whiteken She's in another Universe, and much more (okay, sorta a little more) likable. As to what happened to Chen, uh, I totally forget. I think she got Bobbed (or Doyle'd, or put in the Martin's Attic, whichever saying you like).
@DanieXJ hehehe lol, just so you know i'm belgian and not familiar with english or american sayings! but thanks for the info anyway! the last season is bein aired here now! (epsiode 4 of 15th season was last sunday) there are also reruns on another channel, and i think the thing i like most in this show is the fact that there are so manny student growing into docters! also you had docters from all origins! (american, australian, english, indian, afro-american, croatian, asian,...)
I'm positive that Carter used the exact words Benton used in the pilot when he showed Carter how to start an IV, down to the word "gizmo." I have to check the pilot, but I'd bet my rent on it.
Carter did a lot of that. Kinda cool how he so obviously learned from other people......
You know, it's funny because I thought of coming back here and commenting on that too- You mention what Haleh said in the pilot, and Carter says that here too! Benton asks if there's anyone to suture, and Haleh says "How should I know?", and Benton gives the "You know, I love the spirit of camaraderie here, how everyone helps each other" line that Carter gives here. But as you say, Benton was being sarcastic, while Carter was being genuine.........
@fredj i own season 1, including the pilot, and it is the same speech, word for word. i loved that they brought that part back. so cool of them to have the little flashback touches in this last episode. the speech from carter, the stories from benton, weaver and lewis.... little things that fans would catch and pick up on. fitting way to end it all.
Awesome that she can take on from where her dad left off. I think it's funny, though, that she has the same name as Rachel Greene from Friends, another very popular US show.
hahah awesome bt this scene is so unrealistic i love how he just walks in throws his coat down & takes over, & she's just allowed to follow him around in the er ;-)
I think it's so wonderful how Rachel decided to do this. It was wonderful to see the delight of all the people, like "wow, it's Mark's daughter". I will so miss this show and show really did terrific throughout every season and everyone is going to miss their favorite doctor(s). The final er last night, was amazing, just as we all knew it would be. =)

I love how Carter thought Rachel how to set an IV, just like he was taught in the first episode.

@fredj yeah, I was just going to comment- although, I think when Benton says it, it's sarcastic as Haleh sort of just yells at/dismisses him.

well i think thats the beauty
passing of the torch
from morgenstern, to carter, to morris/the other docs (you set the tone) and now back to the new Dr. Greene.

Finallly, Rachel Greene follows in her father's footsteps. The Greene legacy of ER medicine continues...
