  • i have a pain in my lower back when i do some of these....i tense my core and try to keep posture as perfect as i can...but i still feel a strain in my back....could it be that my lower back is weak??? or is it somethin im doin wrong???

    youtube.com/watch?v=O8d8I7-qtG­g look at this video, this is the correct way to do the lower back exercise. You backs need to be a straight line, not curved and over extended like in this video. Its an unnatural position for your back, If you do it for a long time, you can get an injury.

  • hello. I just check out you vids & its interesting. I need help. I have about a hr a day free time and would like to know that to do to improve my overall fitness. currently I have a large exercise ball, a set of 50 pound dumbells, one 25 pd weight, a pair of cleats and a weighted 10 pd vest. I'm 5'10 and weight about 180-188 and kiinda flabby stomach with love handle and small chest and shoulders. can u suggest some stuff for me to do . I also have a cycle bike in my basement.

  • Just bought a gym ball and mat a couple of days back and this is far and away the best workout ive seen on Youtube , thanks Gustavus . I appreciate the way you put it together so that one excercise goes to the next with minimal changing of position . Brilliant job , im going to use this workout and see how i get on .

  • This is a great ab workout with a very basic piece of equipment, but doing the right ab exercises is just ONE PART of the equation…

    The real key to getting abs is getting a low enough body fat percentage. And you do that by doing cardio, eating right and developing ALL the major muscle groups so they burn fat.

    You should take a look at the video in my channel on what it takes to get abs (and why normal dieting isn’t the answer).

  • @pm06pb Thats accually falseyou can get a body like that with a normal diet and regular cardio.

  • @canadarockz25 well true and false! if you have a slow metabolism like me i.e. it takes you longer then average to convert your food to energy, then eating a normal diet is sometimes not enough. I train regularly at a high intensity but i have to diet strictly to get my body fat % low enough for my abs show (and as of xmas theyre hidden!). you are obviously one of the luck bastards with a fast metabolism!

    the diet doesn't exactly have to be strict. yes you do need to eat right, but don't go on any of those crazy atkins diets or anything.

    it supposedly tells you everything about nutrition and dieting that no other books have, like all the stuff you really need to know (how to formulate diet plans for each individual, etc).

    a body building friend recommended it as a must read.

  • lol should I do this exercise everyday 5 days a week or on days I lift weights?I am doing cardio five days a week and weight lifting 3 days a week with no supplements.I am 19 an 6 foot 5 I am thinking of doing this exercise 5 times a week on top of everything else minus 1 or 2 of his exercises.Just got a tko ball from a gym a few days ago looks exactly like this one tbh plan on doing the 14 exercises it comes with and this 5 days a week.Sound ok on a 2,000 calorie diet?

  • @legend1617 I think your program sounds good! But try doing this every other day or 3 times a week. You can do it when you lift weights. Dont do it every day cuz you want to give the muscle rest to repair itself. Also, since you're not taking supplements, try to take a good multivitamin and eat a balanced diet with ample protein, get adequate sleep and drink enough water. That way you'll provide your body with the nutrition it needs to repair your muscles after intense workouts.

  • @1angel2heart alright man thanks for the advice.I drink plenty of water and I am actually on a multivitamin atm a doctor said it will be a good idea so I am taking the kid multivitamin chewables and try to at least drink a glass of mild every other day.Was told to drink to but can't because of sis and her bf drinking all the damn milk!I will try it three days a week like you said on weight lifting days.Is it alright if I spread it out though?like lift weights and later on in the day fitnessball?

  • @legend1617 yes i think it would be good to spread it out two because i remember that i read (somewhere) that if one cannot exercise 30 mins a day, it is okay to spread it out to two 15min sessions or three 10 min sessions per day as long as you're getting your workout in! Oh and when you're lifting weights and using the fitness ball, just make sure you're not working the same muscles in that day.

    And lol @ your sis and her bf drinking the milk ;P Talk about potholes on the road to fitness=D

  • This is awesome. I just did it right along with you and I can FEEL it, I just add this video to my FAVORITES!! I haven't work out in a year and I'm just trying to break back in. I'm still petite, but I need to get toned again, plus I feel SLUGGISH....I don't like to do a whole list of things, I like target exercises and this is definitely a good one!

  • oh yea all that is about pushups, the hardest part to get through, breaking the ice is getting used to doing pushups with 2 balls, 1 under hands and feet. it'll hit up all the balance muscles in your core legs, forearm tricepts bicepts shoulders and chest, but the results will be only seen from your core, the results will be felt everywhere if your a martial artist
