If anybody knows of a story where an AK-47, or any semi auto (all american AK's are semi, it's the law) assault weapon. First of all, they aren't AK-47s; one can't buy an AK-47 for $400 in the United States. These guns are lower-grade semi-auto varients, many are what's known as a WASR or WASR-10.

If anybody knows of a story where an AK-47, or any semi auto (all american AK's are semi, it's the law) assault weapon. First of all, they aren't AK-47s; one can't buy an AK-47 for $400 in the United States. These guns are lower-grade semi-auto varients, many are what's known as a WASR or WASR-10.
These may use the same round as a real AK-47 but they are not fully automatic and this round, the 7.62x39mm, is a pretty weak rifle round when compared to other rifles that use the 7.62x51 or the 7.92x57, etc.
