The rat wouldn't have died unless it was ON the rail when the train passed. It would have died if it touched the third rail and I didn't see that either.
dude 59th st columbus circle is rat central - they got huge garbage bags stashed on the ends of the center platform - go there and you'll count at least 15 rats in and around the bags, guaranteed
