@tyeson85 Baby Boomers are a group of people who were born after World War II. When all the servicemen came home they got real busy, built houses and had babies. and worked in industry. We are the post WWII and we come from the forties, fifties and some from the early sixties who want to be like us.. Rock and Roll, the Atom bomb, the cold war and the Berlin Wall is how we remember our youth. PS We invented rock and roll.

I see some negative comments about the "interruptions", in the song for lack of a better work, but the posters fail to realize that the vignettes work themselves into to song if they really think about it.
First of all, they are not "commercials"... they are monologues interspersed thru the song for dramatic effect. Secondly, they are brilliant. this is the very first thing I ever heard ( and saw) Lyle Lovett do, and I was an instant fan.
