We (THAT RAUCOUS CREW) are from Frederick, Maryland. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I heard STAR OF THE COUNTY DOWN first from Van Morrison and the Chieftains. That 1988 CD was very influential in turning my ear to Irish, Scottish and Canadian folk music.
I'm a big fan of this song from Van Morrison & The Chieftains "Irish Heartbeat" album. I have to say I really enjoyed this clip! Where are all of you from?

Im from holland and im 15 year. but in holland, most of the people listen to hiphop, rap and R&B. There are only a few people who listen to irish music, but im a big fan of it,
Me myself make a lot of music aswell, and ive sang this song in the city about 6 weeks ago. With a Friend who had a Tin-Flute and I was there with my guitar.
But as i allready said in my first comment, Keep on Going!

I'm so surprsed to hear this. There are a number of Irish Bars in Amsterdam and Den Hague, to mention a few locations, that play Irish music.
Also, if you are interested in an Irish song about the Netherlands, type in "'The Dutchman' Clancy Brothers" to hear a beautiful song about the Netherlands.
I know, but I've never, really never, heard any Irish song on the radio. Also, when someone mentions that he likes irish music on my highschool he will be laughed at...
But yes, the're some irish bars in Holland.
But I need to be honoust, that I feel this way about it, and that someone who works in the Irish bar would say that a lot of people like it, this is just my point of view;)
Thanks, if a fiddler was available we'd have used one :) We're still looking :)

the first 1:30 min. could have been eliminated to make this video better. Try it using more irish accent.

doesn't work with an american accent.
