Engelbert feels like he's going through the motions, but Frankie puts some thought and heart into how he sings it. To those Engelbert fans I've just insulted, he may be great at other songs, but take a listen to Frankie Valli's version and decide for yourselves.

@Phebolegend It's definitely a matter of taste, because I accept Engelbert is massively popular. I think the reason I find his version bland is because of his delivery. He doesn't sing it like he's actually directing the words to the girl of his dreams. He's winking and pointing and relaxed, and he freely skips and adds beats. Where I'm from we'd call the performance 'cheesy', which basically means it is fine on the surface, but it's missing soul and integrity.
