  • I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Dafa is a cultivation system in the Buddha School based on the principles of the Universe: 真 Truthfulness 善 Compassion 忍 Forbearance.

Since 1999 it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in China. People are being killed, tortured, put into concentration camps and have organs harvested from live people, simply because of their belief. More than 3400 Falun Gong practitioners have died at the hands of CCP in the past 12 years.

  • Why are you researching christian or pagan????

  • Thers nothing like the quran and it will never be anything like it because it's the (word of god)i think you need to do some research cause it's been scientificly proven the quran is correct embryo development, creation of human beings, the mountains, the moon, sun, the two buriers in the sea one sweet one salt, exspansion of the universe, the earth, the clouds, thunder. If the trees were gods pen and the sea was the ink it still would'nt be enough for gods words

  • @dcfinest26 Did you just say that a book of faith is scientifically proven? Where's an Atheist when you need one?

  • @dcfinest26 LOL Neither the quran or the bible has anything to do with Gods word ! Its a fraud its a scam ! Christians stole everything they could to make the book. Sumerians, Indian and Egypt scripture of legends and myths, placed secret codes in the bible, translation and interpretation errors, pure fantasy, placing things out of context oh I could go on and on.

  • I guess that's why islam is the fastest growing religion and counting funny thing is majority of the new converts are christian Christianity pagan religion idol worshippers by the way we worship the (creator) of the sun and moon heavens and the earth. so I guess the scientist, atheist, professors and many other people from all diffrent walks if life are praying to the moon sound very ignorant get it correct ignorants is not bliss...allah hu akbar

  • Thanks for the vid I hope this open the heart of christians to see what christianity really is about all truth about god are in the quran

  • @dcfinest26

Islam is pagan. Allah was a pagan moon god. Do some research.

  • what is the name of the song playing in this clip???

i need the name because i want to use it as a background for a video i am going to do

  • @taliesin939939

"Spring" by Vivaldi from "The Four Seasons" :)

  • @VoxPopuli666 Yeah like 2 thousand years from now there will be archaeological evidence of you too. 1. he rosed from the dead 2. he was only here for 33 years 3.he was just an average man who wasn't a king or held any high government position in his time.He was just a simple man preaching the truth of life.

  • Words Son and Sun are different in Greek , and those so called resurrection myths from the past are proven to be false and made after The Christ. Google Zietgiest debunked!!!

  • I see no harm in Christian celebrating pagan holidays, but they should know the truth about them.

  • Boy.... telling someone they are full of shit is a part of love and christianity ive never been familiar with

  • @truth7seeker you call yourself truth seeker and yet still have a closed mind..... sad how ignorant your type of people can be.

  • @VoxPopuli666 Jesus/Joshua/Yeshua of Nazareth never existed? Sure pal, whatever you say. I guess the thousands upon thousands of Biblical manuscripts uncovered from 50-1000 CE as well as mentions of him by Josephus and Roman historians are null and void?

I guess that Alexander the Great never existed either.

  • It is the festival of the goddess of fertility Ishtar. What your thought bunnys ,eggs, and baby chicks had something to do with Jesus?

  • KRISTEN ATAU PAGAN....CHECKIDOT..BROO

  • In these days and at this time, every one who calls themselves by the Name of the True Son of Elohim, Yeshuah, should be realizing, how for the celebration of these pagan holidays OVER that which Elohim gave, we are BLIND! Anti-Messiah is rising up with his governmental system; Their prophet has been identified and he has spoken. This insurrection was spoken of in the Word of YHVH Adonai Elohim but the Church does not see for they have REJECTED the True Word.

  • Easter is named after an Anglo-Saxon goddess.

  • Another great Pagan holiday that you Christians stole from us. LOL For a religion that's supposed to hate our world view, you sure like to steal our holidays!

  • Easter is not pagan.

  • @PassoverEaster lmao, yeah and I bet you think jesus was the only one that was ever resurected too. You christ tards are so full of yourselves.

  • most aspects of culture is from paganism. Paganism is a big part of our life. ALL of our ancestors were pagan and lived in respect with nature.. until the Christians Destoryed such a way of life and declared man is greater than everything and IS everything, but God: Jesus. WHich is completely false. There are too many things in existence including GODS, GODDESSES etc. And all LIFE IS EQUAL.

  • Very good video. However Jesus was a historical figure. Whether or not you want to believe He is God or not is irrelevant to the conversation.

Easter and Christmas certainly are of pagan origins and Catholicism is to blame for both of them being implemented into modern day false Christianity.

However, Catholicism is not the same as Biblical Christianity. There were always sects that kept it pure. Even the Puritans of Britain fought hard against the Christmas tradition.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC

Pre-Catholic Justin Martyr, circa 150AD, recognized the analogies between Christianity and Paganism. To the Pagans, he wrote: "When we say that the Word, who is first born of God, was produced without sexual union, and that he, Jesus Christ, our teacher, was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended into heaven; we propound NOTHING DIFFERENT from what you believe regarding those whom you esteem sons of Jupiter (Zeus)." [First Apology, ch. xxi]

  • @spaceagebachelor Thanks for the quote. I'll read it in context when I get a chance and respond then.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC Easter and Christmas are only the beginning. Communion (god-eating), human mother and divine father, sun-day worship, the symbolism of the Cross, flood myths, death and resurrection, trinities.. all pagan. and many of these are biblical. this isnt even taking into account that many of the bible legends have pgan origins. such as flood myths and many others. its all pagan. the bible and judaism are pagan. islam is pagan.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC spaceagebachelor is right about PRE-CAtholic church father justin martyr. he also spoke of the cult of Mithras using Communion: "Jesus broke bread and gave it to his disciples and said, eat of it for this is my body. he took wine and gave thanks and handed it to his disciples and said drink of it, for this is the cup of my blood which will be shed for you.. this the wicked devils have copied in the rites of Mithras." Please read Justin Martyrs prescriptionae hereticorum.

  • @taliesin939939 Many early church fathers show that christianity is pagan.. this pre-dates catholicism. ALL christianity is pagan. please read Justin Martyr's "De Prescriptionae Hereticorum." this ancient document holds many references to the similarities between early christianity and paganism.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC im pretty sure that communion (god eating), crosses, babtism, virgin births, human mother and divine father, etc. are all in the bible. the bible is pagan. dont you see that? why do you guys blame tha catholics. its ALL pagan. even names of god int he bible are names of older gods. why? because newer religions are based on those which came before

  • @taliesin939939 Communion is not Biblical, crosses are pagan but Jesus was crucified on a pagan symbol because it was done by pagans. The names of God? Yahweh is not a pagan God. The Bible mentions many pagan Gods when talking about false religions. Get over yourself. Antagonists like you run away very quickly when you encounter people like me who know what they are talking about.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC communion is biblical. jesus at the last supper tells his diciples to eat of his body and drink of his blood. to do this in rememberence of him. he was crucified on a cross because he is a sun god. Yah is the egyptian moon good. Also look up other pagan names for god int he bible. Adonai is pagan god. so is El. Elohim is plural, meaning "gods." as is el Shaddai.Antagonists? i am a seeker of truth. i know what im talking about. im a comparative religions major. i have a masters

  • @taliesin939939 Elohim doesn't mean "gods" I guess you must have missed that class. It means "Mighty Ones." god is a teutonic title that evolved into a name for the Christian deity.

  • @YAHsaves777 Elohim means "Mighty Ones"? No it doesn''t. Where in the hell did you get that from????

Elohim is the Hebrew word for God. It is plural and contains both masculine and feminine aspects.

    Try looking it up

  • @YAHsaves777 Furthermore, God is not a "teutonic title that evolved into a name for Christian deity".... Calling God... God is found in many different languages.. it just so happens that the English word for "god" comes from German "gud" meaning "good." I hate it when people know just enough to think they know something when they dont.

  • @taliesin939939 No need to get nasty. The research that I have done reveals that the term God comes from the Teutonic (early German people) term gott. This was also a proper name for their deity Odin. Having a Masters doesn't mean a thing. Yahushua (Jesus) taught that one must become a child again in order to follow Him. Perhaps a measure of humility is in order?

  • @FAITHandLOGIC im not an antagonist. ive spent my whole life (since the age of 10 as a kid) studying the history of religion. i am a seeker of truth. im a comparative religions major witht he goal of teaching. it is all pagan. and what of the human mother and divine father? trinities are pagan. communion, babtism. do you know the hebrew names for god? adonai, el, etc?

  • @FAITHandLOGIC Sure Yahweh is pagan. As is his wife Asherah. Goddess worship once had it's rightful place amongst your pantheon. Yahweh and Asherah joined in sexual union to give birth to the human race in their image

  • @FAITHandLOGIC The bible is in no way shape or form truthful about Paganism. Try reading literature about it specifically. You wouldnt read a set of instructions for a new toaster to know how to fix your car..... so why would you think you know all about Paganism based off what the bible says about it??? Paganism goes back many of thousands of years before catholicism / christianity.

  • easter - pagan end of debate

  • PAGAN

  • thank you Mother Creator loves pagans and christians and vegies! yummy in tummy

  • The christian spirit live more in east as in west!

  • beautiful video

  • Christian is NOT pagan, educate yourself on the New Testament, And the Old Testament, and the first 3 centuries of Christianity... then educate yourself on the Catholic-Pagan Vatican... which is Pagan. Also Islam, is Pagan. Also, everything accept for Jesus Christ is Pagan!

Message me and I can explain to you why Christ is God. And He does not copy any ancient god. I can also explain where the ancient religions came from....

And Video maker, when is Acharya gonna use her real name?

  • So glad I gave up on Christianity.

  • Just another Atheist...anyone who believes this trash is on the way to Hell

  • @thekingofcraps Just another Christain,,, Anyone that believe in god is brain dead

  • Whats the relation between easter and the summer solstice?

  • As an old soldier, in pre-roman times, she'd have been mine...

Ishtar is a goddess of fertility, love, war, and sex. In the Babylonian pantheon, she "was the divine personification of the planet Venus". Ishtar was above all associated with sexuality: her cult involved sacred prostitution; her holy city Uruk was called the "town of the sacred courtesans"; and she herself was the "courtesan of the gods". (Wikipedia)

  • Ho hum...You are either a believer or a disbeliever. Trying to have an intellectual debate about religion is like whizzing in the wind. Expect to get pissy. God is non-tangible and yet there you are tangible. How dare God be something you are not. So you refuse to believe in him not realizing that life is a process and one day you will be like him-untangible; a spirit being after the resurrection. You arrogant piece of dust, and you could have lived forever. It sucks to be U. I believe.

  • All religion is based on ancient myth and astrology...there are too many links to deny this. Great video.

  • khons is not representing horus....khonsu is cancer....thats july,,,it cant be associated.....unless you consider the original sign of cancer the scarab beetle itself... kehpri....which means to come forth..and thats what jesus said when he went to lazarus grave...isnt it

  • There is a God!

  • @SummerSunshine1988 yes and shes called mother earth

  • Acharya may "specialize" in religion and mythology, but she also specializes in making things up wholesale. Her claims should be taken with a massive dose of salt, as *most* of the comparisons she draws between Jesus and other mythologies are based on weaselly usage of words with special meanings in Christian doctrine (which sometimes don't at all accurately describe the non-Christian stories).

  • christianity sprang from the neoplatonists not from the jews. Jesus had no jewish lineage and the jews certainly did not originate monotheism. 85% of judaism was plagiarized from the Sumerians, Africans, Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians and the Greeks. The jews disseminated the ten commandments to overwrite the code of hammurabi. The fake hebrew bible characters were all invented to overwrite real Egyptians such as Amenemhet>>Abraham, Tuthmosis>>Moses and Imhotep>>Joseph.

  • Amazing upload, spaceagebachelor! And thank you, Acharya S, for doing it! Happy Ostara, y'all ~ (•8-D

  • And despite all this " knowledge" I have gained through a video such as this, I still believe that Jesus Christ is my Saviour! Thank you LORD!!!

  • @JESSEJAMESHUNTER Ahhh, the pride of blind faith and ignorance. Bible thumpers never cease to amaze me with their blatant foolishness in the face of truth.

  • @Punkninja12 True.

  • @JESSEJAMESHUNTER yeah me too

  • Passover is Easter? there is an incredibly inaccurate statement, someone needs to check their resource's. How can you translate from latin to Hebrew? other way around and poor translation, gotta question the agenda here, though some of the info is accurate.

  • @7171brian, how is that wrong?

"The "Pagan" Easter is also the Passover, and Jesus Christ represents not only the sun but also the Passover Lamb ritually sacrificed every year by a number of cultures, including the Egyptians, possibly as early as 4,000 years ago"

"Pessach" in Hebrew, "Pascha" in Greek, "Pachons" in Latin and "Pa-Khonsu" in Egyptian. These are NOT TRANSLATIONS but show a possible common origin.

  • Bravissimo!

Too bad the Roman Catholic Church ruined people's hearts + minds even FURTHER!

In due time, the truth will set ITSELF free - thanks to contributors like yourself!

  • Good stuff, Acharya.

  • Hej Friend.

You should really check The Venus Project out. It is created by Jacque Fresco and he advocates what he calls a "Resource based Economy".

It is also presented in the documentary "Zeitgeist Addendum"

  • I enjoyed both Zeitgeist movies for what they were. And I look forward to what could come from the Venus Project. However, it's important to note that Jacque Fresco has no expertise in religion. So, it's probably wise to fill that gap with the work of Acharya S and her Mythicist Position found on page 12 of 'Christ in Egypt.'

    stellarhousepublishing. com /mythicist. html

    ; )

  • easter was also the return of the pagan god baldur from niflehiem

  • despite the argument, I find this writer eloquent, and articulate. I really enjoy listening to her speak! it is so intellectually satisfying...

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

  • Over the years we have all been lied to by many false Religous Leaders and so called prophets. Many things we have been taught are not even in Scripture and millions have swallowed so many lies by these false leaders. If you are a truth seeker please visit the web site which is displayed in our user name and take the time to read some of the articles... You will be very shocked.

There is a great audio there for you to listen to. You will come away asking many questions.

    Blessings

    Thanks Ben

  • Check out my Vids on Easter.

  • In actuality it's BOTH but it started out PAGAN. The Christians used ideas from pagan holidays so it would make it a little easier to convert pagans to christians. the PAGAN holiday is the SPRING EQUINOX which is a few weeks before the CHRISTIAN holiday EASTER. Honestly if your going critize religion do your damn homework people

  • Why did Christians feel the need to convert anyone in the first place? Why not keep their beliefs to themeselves? Why not come up with their own Holidays and ideas. Why do they now criticize those of us that are Pagan? So many questions...so few answers!

  • @mizzoi4u "Why not keep their beliefs to themeselves?"

Probably because Jesus was a really enlightened man who tried to spread the word of peace and understanding.

Some men figured out how to capitalize on Jesus and mixed the good values of Jesus with the nonsensical notions of God, Heaven and Hell.

There is no Satan, there is only environment shaping human behaviour.

In the future we will live in a Resource based Economy (RBE) as envisioned by Jacque Fresco of The Venus Project.

  • Read revelation, you might not even get the chance to see the venus project come into action. Besides it's been sais that the "Venus Project" is a false hope for people.

  • Where do you get your information?

  • the more things change, the more things stay the same.

  • Apparently, there's nothing in the Bible that says you have to commemorate Christmas or Easter, you're just supposed to read the Bible and follow it, as for proofs of existence of Jesus Christ, there are many proofs, you can even google it (and I don't mean the Shroud of Turin).

  • I have no question there was a dude Jesus. He just didn't have any super powers, nor was he a zombie

  • you know good and well that xmas and easter are MAJOR christian holidays. if the bible does not commemorate them, then why do the christians?....who are supposed to be following the bible? anyway, the crucifixion and ressurrection is in the bible and this video and others plainly reveal where the concept came from.

  • "We have proof that Jesus lived."

    Not true at all.

  • no one is trying to make anyone think Christianity is Pagan, especially considering the definition of paganism is any non-abrahamic religion. The pont that is being made is simply the number of pagan elements of the holiday, such as the easter bunny and the giving of easter eggs, the same as Christmas has the pagan elements of the christmas tree and santa claus

  • Christians are idiots and are forgers of lies and in denial even the Bible condems the it says prove all things they can not prove the symbolitry of eggs and rabbits and show you in the Bible where christ told them to have easter hunts the Bible says if they dont speak according to this word its bcuz there is no truth in them so ur own bible condems u fake ass religious followers the bible tell u to dont put a tree up and decorate it what do they do?

  • No, Easter does not show doctrinal error in Christianity, it simply shows appropriation. It's like the New Age Spirituality borrowing from Christian elements, and in the future it becomes THE major world religion. Get it?

  • Oh and no, there is no proof of Jesus actually lived, although I don't doubt there must have been a man (good man like Ghandi or the Buddha) in the middle east that probably had a delusion that he was indeed "the savior". But there are no surviving texts from him, and the people that wrote about him (ie the Bible) never even met him during his hypothetical life. The Shroud of Turin proves nothing. And it could have belong to just any man in that region (maybe during "Jesus times").

  • are you saying that there is no proof that Jesus existed? Let me get this straight bluehoneycomb?

  • Exactly, no proof whatsoever. The biblical texts were written about a hundred years after his death (if he indeed lived at all). If there was indeed a man called Jesus, he would probably be like Ghandi, who knows if he even called himself a savior or God's son, or if legend (and people) attributed him that divine title, like some people say of Buddha, and Buddha was nothing more than a wise, enlightened man.

  • Comment removed

  • This is more proof that Christianity is nothing but a bunch of bullshit! A over fed lie !!

  • "Why does God allow evil?"

Why does God allow evil men and women to live? Should He instead kill them before they do evil deeds? Should He judge murderers and rapists now? What about thieves and liars, adulterers, fornicators, those who lust, and those who hate? If God judged evil today, all unconverted men and women would perish under His wrath. Thank God that He is patiently waiting for them to turn to the Savior and be saved from His terrible wrath.

  • Actually most of the "converted" would perish as well as they are committing all of those sins just as much as the unconverted. The "converted" are no better than the unconverted and neither is god. God has been a major disappointment.

  • Well, it all goes back to "Genesis"..why if he is "All knowing" and "omnipotent" did he create Satan and the Tree of Knowledge, and two stupid kids where he "knew" the future (they were gonna fall for the Tree of Knowledge)? He knew perfectly what was coming (infinite knowledge?)...either this was a cruel act (not ever loving), or an act without wisdom or an act without omnipotence, and these are not attributes of a God. After this, why wait millenia to "judge" humankind with a "reaping"?

  • hi.. u have to understand 1 thing, this whole life is a test.the whole reason we were put on earth is becasue we didnt uphold god alone. not because of adam and eve like christians believe. because of gods greatness we were given another chance. yes god knows the past, present and future, but god gave us a choice, either to serve him alone or fall into satan's trap believein that he is equal to god. god didnt want to create robots,he wants us to think 4 ur self.

  • I grew up with this story, and this is exactly a robot-like mentality. I guess you didn't understand (or want to listen) to any points I wrote. Let's put a perfect example: The Austrian monster that bred with and raped his daughter for 20 some years, she didn't see the outside world and year after year, day after day had to endure this horrific life with her father in a basement. You are truly telling me that she "chose" satan"?? She had no choice!!!!!! God didn't do ANYTHING to prevent this.

  • If god knows past, present, and future. One: he knows that we are stupid enough to choose evil. It's cruel not to prevent it. Why wait more than 2000 years to stop evil? Why would he not stop Satan before he created him if he is all powerful and knows it all? if you still think that god gave us choice even when we can't control evil, and does nothing to prevent it you are living in a big delusion. Children under 5 that are raped and murdered have NO choice. Where's god's mercy?

  • Read revelation he already knows and has told us what will happen. Humans have free will, without it we'r just mindless zombies?

  • @XxZaranaxX In honor of Zombie Jesus Day

  • @bluehoneycomb if there is a god and he is the all important creator of the universe, why would he only be watching us? He has all the universe to take care of doesn't he? If "God" gave us free will and free individualistic thought, why would he need to babysit us? if there is evil in the world or within ourselves, don't you think he(he, she it, whatever) would wait for us to do something?

  • @bluehoneycomb

And in the case of "satin", if it, he, or she was ever created, I think we as humans would be the ones to create evil (remember something called free will) humans are mean, nasty, greedy, and everything else that could be portrayed as evil. But at the same time we create, inspire, love, share, and imagine; we are strange creatures. Everyone in the whole world chooses if they are good or bad, by our actions and our words.

  • @TheOReport1994 Again, agree, humans do create evil, but it's because it's part of nature, plain and simple. You know opposites, night and day, tall/short, etc. Good and evil. Strange creatures, yes we are, the whole world has the capacity to choose good or evil, not because a god cared for us, but because it depends on how well we want to survive in the time we are in this world. I don't believe in a personal god, but I do believe in the harmony of dual forces.

  • @bluehoneycomb i agree with you about believing in the harmony and duel forces.

I do not believe in the god that the church tells you to believe and worship (god loves you!, but if you don't worship him, you'll be doomed in hell! ) - how is that even logical???

  • @TheOReport1994 agree with everything u said except I don't get what u are saying exactly on the last part: to wait for us to do what? hypothetically if he created us and is loving and gave us free will? my point is evil cannot exist if there is a loving all powerful god. and since there is evil/suffering in the world then a god (personal, loving, etc.) cannot exist.

  • @bluehoneycomb I was just saying that instead of the creator,( it , he, she etc.) fixing the problems we have, "god" is waiting for us to learn the lesson fix the problem and move on with our lives. In which i believe that we are put on this earth, dimension, reality, to learn lessons, but to learn all the lessons you would have to be reincarnated, one life time is long enough to learn some of the lessons but not all. - (it's just an opinion)

  • @TheOReport1994 These are interesting hypotheses/beliefs, I am open to these ideas, just not the ones that the bible teach, because the God it depicts does not show qualities that a Benevolent, all-mighty God should have. It simply shows an imperfect, childish, God showing nothing more than human emotions. Very similar to Zeus and all these capricious gods all combined into one.

  • @bluehoneycomb very true, if there is a god and he wanted a book to be written about what you should believe in etc. he would have done it himself, and not told men to. The way religion represents god is too much like a king.

  • @TheOReport1994 But back to your comment, this is the ultimate question: why are we here? We can let our imagination go wild, particularly if it gives us purpose in our lives and brings us happiness, the healthiest thing one can do is have an open mind with a healthy skepticism (again, balance). One thing is for sure: no one knows what the future holds just as much as we don't know what God is.

  • @bluehoneycomb

i think good/evil have to be in the same world, to make it stable just like the elements fire, water; earth, wind; matter, energy keep our world stable, even though it can be unstable, it will correct itself.

  • @bluehoneycomb Stop thinkin so much or you will go to Hell

  • @PlanetoftheAtheists haha, well if there is God and he created me, then it's his fault for creating such an imperfect "thinking" creature. Wait, aren't we all created in his "image", so then he is such an imperfect "God".

  • Can you really tell me that a benevolent God would allow children to be raped or suffer famine/disease year after year and not stop it in a whif of time? I think I have more decency than this God.

  • amen amen

  • "Do what Acharya S hasn't done: read a book on the religion you want to talk about. "

Do what an honest person would do before pretending to know someone's work - actually read it. Acharya cites over 900 sources in her latest book "Christ in Egypt," most of them are on religion. You don't know what you're talking about.

  • "As for Quetzacoatl, he 1. wasn't a sun god. 2. Wasn't crucified. Even wikipedia will tell you that."

WRONG. Quetzalcoatl is shown on a cross, and he was a sun god. Wiki is superficial - anybody should know that by now.

    Google "jordan maxwell quetzalcoatl crucifixion"

  • This Pagan says that Acharya S is a wack job who needs to do research in books that aren't over 100 years old. For instance, before Christianity, Attis died but wasn't resurrected; in this case it was Christianity affecting Paganism, not the other way round. Adonis wasn't crucified. The date of Easter is based on the date of Passover. And so on. Stop ridiculing my religion, Acharya!

  • did you know that the hindu religion, which predates christianity, has a trinity. these are shiva, vishnu, and brahma. the second member of the trinity is god made man. he was fixed upon a tree with arrows piercing his hands and feet. the hindus believe that vishnu had many incarnations, including jesus, krishna, and buddha

  • Vishnu has a number of manifestations, including a boar and a turtle, not just a man. He was not killed when he was a man. Jesus was not one of his incarnations; Jesus doesn't appear in classical HInduism at all. The Buddha is sometimes seen as an incarnation of Vishnu, but was an historical person.

Do what Acharya S hasn't done: read a book on the religion you want to talk about. A good start would be Huston Smth's "The Religions of Man." Don't let people like Acharya S make a fool of you.

  • look up "gilgamesh" in any encyclopedia. this is a flodd myth from sumeria and akkadia that matches noahs ark. also see "cassair" from ireland and "dyfrdwy" from wales. universal doctrines.

read a book on a religion i want to talk about? LMAO. that was good.

  • Better yet, read the actual Gilgamesh. I have, in two translations. As for Cassair, I've already told you its source, which I have also read. I'm a Celticist, so that's an area I feel comfortable in.

  • im also a celticist. i follow a celtic pantheon myself (irish). then, you are aware of flood myths as a uniersal phenomenon in world mythology. and of lake dyfrdwy? the myths of dwyvach and dwyvan? thats welsh.

oh yes, and what of the sun god of the aztecs, quetzacoatl. he was crucifed, etc. ya know. this made the missionaries think christianity was already there in some form! ignorant clerics.

  • We mean "Celticist" in different senses. I follow a Celtic pantheon as well. But what I meant was that I am a Celticist in an academic sense. I've studied the Celts at Harvard, and presented papers on the Celts at academic conferences at UCLA, Berkeley, and Harvard; I just had a paper on Cernunnos published in the Proceedings of the Harvard Celtic Colloquium. I've studied this stuff in the origina texts, as well as the scholarly literature. You're getting your information from bad sources.

  • well then. you might just be equally equiped for debate. though i have my doubts. most of the harvard students probably dont know as much as i do about religion. im sure this will be a lively discussion, again, as opposed to debate, because that would imply opposition without considering the truth of the other.

  • i look forward to our debate :)

  • As for Quetzacoatl, he 1. wasn't a sun god. 2. Wasn't crucified. Even wikipedia will tell you that.

You need better sources. Go to ones that discusss the mythogies themseves, not ones that have an axe to grind. There are indeed similarities among different cultures. There are also differences. You need to look at both.

  • wow. lol. i find trhat strange since archeologists say otherwise on the history channel. lol.

    universal phenomenons in world mythology.

  • Janmastmi is lord Krsna birthday midnight 5000 years ago exactly, fasting till midnight, december also Krishna month for delivering the words of Gita. Cristos in greek, krista or krishna , Mas mean month, Crisn mas mean month of Crisna

  • Greek "Christos" means "anointed." It is a translation of Hebrew "Messiah," which reflected the fact that Hebrew kings were anointed. "Krishna," on the other hand, means "dark." So in order for "Christos" and "Krishna" to be related, a Sanskrit name must somehow have been connected with a Hebrew coronation ritual, all so that eventually when a term from the ritual was translated into Greek the two names would sound alike. Right, sure.

  • False dichotomy...

  • most european are pagans and savages, 4.2 million years ago BCE, europe had no previous history, they came out of the ice age, they were eating each other, because they couldnt grow any food, because the whole land was ice, this explains why they are bloodthirsty people and every cycle, they have to kill people, because they are savages, not even animals behave like the mayiti, tamahu, kaukazians.

  • I was thaugh that easter was the celebration of the 10th egyptian plague kiling the first born sons of egypt and setting free jeova's people in exodus :o

then again pupular belief is indeed that it is a celebration of christ's rezz. always find that weird, interesting how yet another aspect crossed to astrology and other religons

  • LOL, here we the Jews showing us their astrotheological connections:

Jews perform sun ritual every 28 years

    forums.truthbeknown. com/viewtopic. php?t=2594

    LOL

  • christianity is based in sun worship.

  • Most of Christianity is Sun worship but NOT all of it. Many cults within Christianity reject the Sun worship, they observe the Sabbath (notably the Seventh day Adventists). 40,000 Protestant Sects, they are not all the same!

  • Not just the ancients but even the modern world. As a car runs out of gas, it dies, we push it to a gas pump, which is reset to $0, and from the under the ground, it is 'filled' with a new spirit (high octane), and can then be "restarted" (reborn) as the penalty has been 'paid' for with the VISA. Yes the Christian story is everywhere.... the author of this video never researched historical records and no concept of the Christian theology... Just babble....

  • There are two groups of Christians. True and false. The wheat and the tares! The vast majority are false Christians, they believe in falsehood, church tradition where much came from paganism from the Catholic church. The other group is a small group of bible believing Christians that hold fast to what the Bible teaches. They observe the Saturday Sabbath, observe the Jewish festivals, and keep kosher. They keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus (Rev 12:17).

  • Part 1 "The only definite account of his life and teachings is contained in the four Gospels of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. All other historical records of the time are silent about him....."

    CONTINUED .....

  • Part 2 "The brief mentions of Jesus in the writings of Josephus, Tacitus and Suetonius have been generally regarded as not genuine and as Christian interpolations; in Jewish writings there is no report about Jesus that has historical value. Some scholars have even gone so far as to hold that the entire Jesus story is a myth"

    - The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia (v.6,83)

    - "Who Was Jesus?

Fingerprints of The Christ" (WWJ) 84

  • Keep the Sabbath? They never travel more than the distance prescribed? Liar. Cut meat or vegetables? Even Christ explained you cannot keep it as the simple emergencies (rescuing a sheep) violate it. So if your child falls and you pick him/her up, you are in violation of 'work' Christ said he was Lord of the Sabbath, the Creator of it is bigger than His creation (Sabbath Day). Being in Him gives us the overriding power. You are only choosing to try to feel holy or something. Grow in your faith...

  • If you had faith, you would keep the Sabbath because you want to please Jesus Christ. We want to follow Him yet not do what he did? Why? Is the student greater than Jesus our Teacher? Of course not! Matt 5:17-19 - Not ONE JOT or TITTLE will pass from the TORAH! About time we started to take Jesus at His word!

  • Okay Keeper of the Torah. You agree we should EXECUTE workers on the Sabbath? Exodus 31:13-15. You are sick. No extinguishing (so much for putting your burning house out). No cooking.

  • All you do is twist scripture so that the UNLEARNED will easily fall for the deceptions that you spout. Jesus gave us the OX AND DITCH rule allowing one to save life on the Sabbath so putting out a fire is permissible. Even today's Jews would recognise this. No cooking? Jews have 4 meals on the Sabbath. And Christian Law Keepers actually do cook food on the Sabbath, we just dont bake cakes or anything time consuming!

  • You are just misinterpreting the Torah because you don't want to obey it! The Ten Commandments are part of it, so if you are obeying them, then, you are keeping the Torah!

  • no knot tying (shoes), No untying. No writing. No erasing. Your children must obey this too... but you can put them to death as prescribed. Do you go to church?! VIOLATOR of the Torah!! Read Ex 16:29 - Let no man leave (go out) his place on the seventh day". No writing/erasing - (typing and backspacing). Do you travel more than 1/2 mile to worship? VIOLATOR! Acts 1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a "sabbath day's journey" (1/2 mile ok)

  • Be a little honest will you!! Those are extra biblical laws written by scribes in the Talmud. They do not form part of the WRITTEN Torah, but are the oral Law and therefore not binding on Torah Christians. We do not stone anyone today because the TEMPLE has been destroyed with the Sanhedrin Court disbanded. When Jesus Christ returns, the LAW WILL GO FORTH FROM ZION. That means stoning may well come back!

  • there are two types of christians: false and false. the whole story of jesus and his death on a cross, etc. never happened. it never happened. the same story was told three hundred years before christianity in rome. his myth is of older sun gods, an alegory for the sun. thus, the solar myth is symbolic. so it finally really happened?there is no historical evidence that a man known as jesus ever existed. except for josiphus, shown later as a forgery. nothing but hundreds of gospels that contradict

  • damn i always thought but when bibles say plant the seeds in the old flok ect they was being mistical, all there doing realy is taking the piss out of pagans for there "magic" of knowing when to plant stuff what stuff grows best where, looking after people or "healing"

  • pagan, duh

you must be retard not say pagan

when everyone in church faces the east...........God will strike them

  • Comment removed

  • EGITAYE "Christianity pre-dates paganism"

LOL, that is THE funniest thing I've heard all day. And, the earth is 2,000 years old (sarcasm) LOL.

  • You people are so delusional Christianity Islam and Judaism are all cults just like any other religion. You have no evidence at all that your religion is correct... .

Why are you willing to fight and die for beliefs that have zero evidence. Just because you believe it and it makes you feel good inside isn't good enough of a Reason.

Every religion that has ever existed claims the same bullshit... That they know its the truth when it clearly in not..

  • Jesus = Yahweh = Allah

This is the holy trinity. They are all one and the SAME!!!!

Wake up you stupid Christian MORONS!

  • jesu=yahweh=allah =goddess and god=brahman=shiva=tarne= tao=buddha =the force=cosmic mind=allthatis=elohim= baphomet= mana=universal mind. i agree, i just broadened it :)

  • see the video: A SHORT LIST OF GODS

  • DONT hate it when people say they dont believe in him?

  • The word Ostara / Easter shares semantic roots with the book of Esther in the Bible, which in turn is based on the Goddess Ishtar / Ashtarte. There is archeological evidence that the Celts visited Anatolia (modern Turkey) once a year as part of an international ancient festival in honor of the Mother Goddess. We also know that Phoenician presence in Celtic lands was such that many Celtic Gods originated as Canaanite or Phoenician: Baal = Bel, Baal-Qarnayn = Cernunnos, Ishtar = Easter !

  • Not only that, but Astarte is mentioned in the Bible where it's said that Jewish women used to offer incense to the 'Queen of the Heavens', this was a source of concern for the more intolerant religious elements in Jewish society. Jewish women used to also lament for the dying and resurrecting man-God Tammuz outside of the Temple of Jerusalem only generations prior to Jesus - the modern lamentations by the Maries during the crucifixion are the same cultic practice in modern guise

  • he word "church" comes from scottish "kirk" which comes from latin "cirke", which comes from greek "circe." thus, church means circe. circe was a greek goddess that would bring people into her home, hypnotize them, turn them into an animal, and eat them. thats where church comes from. a sad etymology, indeed, but true. apropiate, or not. fact is a fact. :)
