I plan an assassination on the great barbarian king. It will be very simple, I just have to teleport my best assassin into their town, then cast some random spell to get their attention.
And finally once the assassin jobs done we will attack them. With no moral support of their chief they will lose !

the best ciy were the one with the insekt city with gnolls and Dragonfly , why they did not Put them in heroes 5 ... or 6 who cares for Samurai give me Dragonflys ^^.
HoMM music is so awesome, I played HoMM 1, 2, and 3 for MANY years.... Loved them all so much, but if I had to pick my favorite, I'd pick 2, probably my most played one. But I loved them all, inferno homm3 town was interesting.
i never felt at home with the necros. The music doesn't give that "home" feeling, but rather the feeling that you are some young adventerous human who walked into the place and bare witness to all the demonic, occult and death-related happenings while looking for a way out
Ok, I've been playing heroes since way back and I don't see why some people dislike number 5 when they like 3. Have you even played the game? The game is practically the same in terms of game play. Tbh, I like five a lot and it feels very similar to three. Though I still play three more than five. >.> My point still stands if you think they are two entirely different games then I doubt you even touched five and are going by someone else's opinion. A good leader is fighting with their soldiers... this sitting in a horse habitude is acceptable for a wizard, but i can't imagine if you're a barbarian
first time i played homm4 i hated it! but after, when i knew how to play it s much better than homm3 which is too easy! i still play homm 2 and 4 but not homm3!
the vampire lords do 1245 damage. All of the ones you just killed are raised from the dead. fucking vampire lords ftl. And once they've won the battle they start with another fricken skeleton army!
in the third part i always used necros and i always chosed the heroe who was the best in eskeletons, then i upgraded his skills of necromance at the top . If you make this and then you fight with anyone at the end of the combat you get much more skeletons than the skeletons you have at the first
Most of the homm5 haters seem to be annoyed by its graphics, probably just people who has never played it. It's gameplay is pretty much the same as homm3 (well a whole lot closer than homm4). I loved homm5 because it kept (most of) homm3's gameplay features, plus it gave all the different factions uniqueness with the unique skills the heroes learn at the beginning. Other than that, it's just improved graphics which isn't a bad thing.
Heroes 2 (i admit its not the best of the series, but I'm in love with this one, i just like everyhing of this: IA, music, sound effects, graphic and animations)
Heroes 4 (it's better than it seems, with equilibris mod i played it more than
HoMM3, too bad the IA is still too weak...)
Heroes 3 (it have probably the the best gameplay, but personally i don't like graphics and animations on this one...)
Heroes 1 (its nice, but Heroes 2 is better in all aspects)
This piece is such a classic, I don't understand how anybody can dislike it. For me, this is the greatest representation of all the undead; with the typical creepy music, but what sets it apart from other cliches is the ending from 2:10 onward... it's almost as if the skeleton is saying "I'm not evil... I'm just dead."
I think Heroes 3 is one of the best. So original. Best music. But i dont think Heroes 4 is that bad. I like that the hero can get very strong. And some other things. @robx8rob I have to agree with you... regarding people "hating" Heroes IV... I don't get it. I loved it. And it was the first time I actually LIKED playing with the Necro characters, since vampires could be used in such a deadly fashion.

Personally, I like Heroes 3, love Heroes 4 and am horrified by Heroes 5.
Heroes 3 had an idea and used it well.
Heroes 4 added a lot of tactical options to what Heroes 3 had.
Heroes 5 threw Heroes 4 away and copied Heroes 3 with better graphics ridiculous gameplay and stolen soundtracks. You'd think Heroes 5 would be bombarded by copyright by now, especially since it's made by an other company.
HEROES 3 FUCKING RULE, one of the best games ever.
Heroes 5 is good but the interface is ugly and battles are kind of slow, but at least it continues the line of the 3 and also add a good strategy to infernos (the summons).
but anyway heroes 3 is best in. desing, gameplay, music, everything, graphic interphase.

yes the strongest town in H3, and was strongest in H5 first part, but later with thoes dark points it becames a bit weaker, maybe it was to strong ? I remember one long crazy game, when I had 15000 skeletons, and 120 enemy Archangels was nothing for me =)

Most of the homm5 haters seem to be annoyed by its graphics, probably just people who has never played it. It's gameplay is pretty much the same as homm3 (well a whole lot closer than homm4). I loved homm5 because it kept (most of) homm3's gameplay features, plus it gave all the different factions uniqueness with the unique skills the heroes learn at the beginning. Other than that, it's just improved graphics which isn't a bad thing.

Heroes 2 (i admit its not the best of the series, but I'm in love with this one, i just like everyhing of this: IA, music, sound effects, graphic and animations)
Heroes 4 (it's better than it seems, with equilibris mod i played it more than
HoMM3, too bad the IA is still too weak...)
Heroes 3 (it have probably the the best gameplay, but personally i don't like graphics and animations on this one...)
Heroes 1 (its nice, but Heroes 2 is better in all aspects)
Heroes 5 (WTF HoMM in 3D...)

This piece is such a classic, I don't understand how anybody can dislike it. For me, this is the greatest representation of all the undead; with the typical creepy music, but what sets it apart from other cliches is the ending from 2:10 onward... it's almost as if the skeleton is saying "I'm not evil... I'm just dead."

I think Heroes 3 is one of the best. So original. Best music. But i dont think Heroes 4 is that bad. I like that the hero can get very strong. And some other things. Heroes 1 and 2 sets the standard for heroes 3, so thats why i think heroes 1 and 2 are great. But still. Number 3 is best. Number 5 looks like world of warcraft to me though. but i dont play wow.

Actually, when you get to know it, Heroes IV pwns just about as much as III. There are of course some differences, but cmon. It's way funnier to play with genies now that they are spellcasters.. Plus the music is fantastic!!
I agree that number 5 sucks though, it's got nothing to do with Heroes. The castle is like the skill tree in D2X and the graphics is like WoW.. Not the good ol' isometric 2D!

@robx8rob sorry but i have to disagree here.. the 5th > 3rd, why: well 5th has way better gameplay than the 3rd and more races etc..... why i dislike 5th: well it doesnt have the rpg feeling like the 3rd one, also the 3rds interface looked better in some parts.. why i like 3rd: the rpg feeling and interface and terrain. why i dislike : horrible outdated graphics ( can be fixed IF! the gameplay was like the 5th) too fast paced ( bad for this game ) overrated dragons...and gameplay.

@robx8rob I have to agree with you... regarding people "hating" Heroes IV... I don't get it. I loved it. And it was the first time I actually LIKED playing with the Necro characters, since vampires could be used in such a deadly fashion.
Sure, sure... each of the games have + and - points... but really--what the HELL was so god awful about IV??!? I mean... hmm, maybe some of the single player maps sucked a bit more?? Don't know.

Personally, I like Heroes 3, love Heroes 4 and am horrified by Heroes 5.
Heroes 3 had an idea and used it well.
Heroes 4 added a lot of tactical options to what Heroes 3 had.
Heroes 5 threw Heroes 4 away and copied Heroes 3 with better graphics ridiculous gameplay and stolen soundtracks. You'd think Heroes 5 would be bombarded by copyright by now, especially since it's made by an other company.

HEROES 3 FUCKING RULE, one of the best games ever.
Heroes 5 is good but the interface is ugly and battles are kind of slow, but at least it continues the line of the 3 and also add a good strategy to infernos (the summons).
but anyway heroes 3 is best in. desing, gameplay, music, everything, graphic interphase.

Well, 1, 2 and 3 are practicaly the same, 3 is just most advanced and simply better.
4 was some kind of misunderstanding, 5 is ok, but it's no strategy game any more, it's tactical RPG.

yes the strongest town in H3, and was strongest in H5 first part, but later with thoes dark points it becames a bit weaker, maybe it was to strong ? I remember one long crazy game, when I had 15000 skeletons, and 120 enemy Archangels was nothing for me =)
