Lvl cap raise killed the game. Too many events to attend, all the peeps I knew left the months before that update. I'm afraid, I miss that game a lot, but it started to be way to much for someone to have a real life AND to be a good player. (Siddharta galka MNK NIN BRD 75 on Fairy)
@siddhart4 came back for 1 month after a 1 year break after FFXIV came out. This return was a xmas gift for a friend, so many freaking changes... I don't feel the magic from Vana'diel anymore, everyone wants Lv.99, Empyrean Armor and Weaponskills from Abyssea here and there, you can party with 18 ppl with level sync in gusgen mines on FoV to avoid dunes, new generations won't feel the grudge against goblins and skeletons :S ... farewell Vana'diel , Firabe, DRK/COR/MNK (Fairy)
FFXI is fucking shit. Like 8 years out and they still use the same model (reskinned) mobs because they are too lazy to make new ones. Every expansion they make they only make a few new mobs and the rest (95%) are same old mobs but with different colors. Look at how many Khirmeras, hydras, cerberus, fafnirs, behemots are in the game :P at least 3-4 of each
@XPrespawn I'm on Slyph, formerly from Fairy. Waiting for the pack of three expansions to come out before buying any of them. Bad enough content like this used to be free, but releasing it in sets of three, each which you have to pay for? What the hell is this crap? What if Dyanmis for cities, dreamland, and iceland were three packs, each of which you had to pay for seperately? At least it's better than the last three minis, but that's like saying 'at least it's not alcohol free American beer'.
Final Fantasy is not gonna die like everyone keeps saying they released these expansions to keep it alive and not to mention they increased lvl capp to 99 with these three last expansions i hate how people say its gonna die when its not i have talked to many player in game and tons of them say they are not giving up 11 when 14 comes out and by a ton i mean a ton.
@Nekoboy1000 I love FFXI....i want to come back,but with the release of 14 soon i dont feel like it. 14 ...to me...feels like EQ2..it was good,but not enough to stop playing EQ1.
actually SE lyed! them 3 other small expansions were soposto be the last of the expansions that were charged for. they specifically stated any after would be free.
but ya after 14 comes out if square plans on keeping 11 going they had better make the game fully soloable and cheep to play or not very many will bother with it.

@Chaosboi92 k 14 blows major cock and is probably the worst MMO ever made, FFXI is growing in numbers per server with the new expansions and there are currently 3-5x the amount of total subscriber with xi then with xiv. 14 is a piece of shit that hopefully dies soon

Some people might argue that ninjas make decent damage-dealers, but they'd be wrong. Either way you spin it, this trailer is wonky.
One of Final Fantasy XI's biggest flaws, in my opinion, has always been the lack of attention given to the tank/damage-dealer balance. Or the lack thereof.
@Leridan02 While I agree it's SE's fault; want to help NIN tank so they gave an ATK down jutsu, not Emnity, Evasion, or Traits. I'm going to have to disagree that NIN is not a decent DD. NIN, THF and a few other jobs need to be well equiped to compete with idiot-proof DD jobs like SAM. My NIN/WAR often gets hate, but it's when I'm DDing, because the EVA gear is gone and my Haste gear puts me almost on par with a MNK/NIN (w/o Black Belt). I can't hold hate with EVA gear, can't get enough emnity.
looks crap, same thing SE always does. copy/paste stuff to areas that already looks like zones we already have then entice us enough with just one thing to get us willing to spend money on (3 add ons for example)
I HATE Abyssea! Because it ruined the game, I only got to level 38 of the game. So much of the game I never got to play because of it.
