I was here too! This was the best song of the concert. I can't believe we gave him an standing ovation in the middle of his set! But holy crap what a great cover.
@blueplatypus93 - i was first balcony, second row. the seats were incredible, i had a perfect view of glen, right in the centre! thanks a lot, BTW :) i'm just surprised the security guards didn't catch me, they are like vultures @ massey!
nope, wasn't me. they didn't even catch me filming any of the videos i actually got, thank god! i saw a girl in front of me try to film very blatantly, with her camera held out in front of her on the ledge...they totally caught her and she was like "what?!" as if she had no idea you weren't supposed to film. hahaha!
@ParadoxManic - my pleasure! glad you enjoy it. i was first balcony, second row actually. it felt like first row because the seats were so perfect (DEAD centre). that's cool, could you see me filming? hahaha...
@Ebrithil - exactly!!!! when your mind's made up is definitely tops for me as well. i especially love mar's songs too. but yes, as you said...i completely agree - as if the recorded songs aren't already astounding enough, the live ones are just...beyond anything words can describe!
My son and I were there too. This was absolutely AMAZING! You can tell by the crowd's reaction. It's like being in the presence of the gods. And this is a very good recording too. Thank you so much for this! I remain in awe of this guy.
I love his strumming pattern, seeing him in small rooms by himself is just something else, and the pleasure of hearing him at gigs that hold about 70 people many times over the years. Always knew there was great things ahead for him.
He deserves it all.
Charlie..do you know what happened the boy who got everything...he lived happily ever after.
@Jeribhan Oh I am so very envious of you! Would love to get to hear him in small rooms, or busking, or around a campfire. But glad to have discovered Glen and The Frames anyway. As they say better late than never!
Used to see him in The Lobby Bar Cork City many many times with his best buddy, the late and great Mic Christopher about a decade ago. His energy then is what is being experienced now by a wider audience....finally!
He worked so hard, inspiring really, and he really is A GREAT GUY!
Sometimes after a gig, Glen would be at one side of the bar, me at the other, and I would just stare at the guy, admirably wondering why he ain't huge, well he's there now.
@Jeribhan - that's amazing, what an incredible story :) i, too, would've loved to have been more into his music earlier on, but better late than never indeed. i discovered them about 2 or 3 years ago...he's one of very few 100% genuinely talented and passionate artists who i believe truly deserves it. all of it. you can tell, just...how evident his conviction and his character and his enthusiasm are, the hard work shines through.
I couldn't agree more amyjwatson, great videos. Glen always puts in a performance, as if it's his last night on earth. I remember him getting disillusioned at one stage years ago(record companys etc) but he kept plugging away, started doing lots of little solo gigs to self finance The Frames For The Birds album and its independent release, when it was released it gave him the push to keep going as he now knew you can keep making music without record companys. He simply never gave up,thank god!
Thank you for capturing this. I was also at the show and was utterly blown away by his four song acoustic set in the middle of the show. Rarely have I seen such passion and honesty from a performer. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks again!
Amazing. Totally enjoyed this (10 times)!

Same with me! Well, one of them. It's tied with a few other's like When You're Minds Made up and stuff.
But, the live ones. His live performances are even more amazing than his studio ones. And that's saying something!
