i quite like how ive got my channels beta design, but the standard templates that you see on most channels look really bad, their needs to be some good backgrounds you can choose from

why do we care how many subs you have? the number of subscribers you have shouldn't determine the value of your opinion. what you're saying is that youtube should change the layout, which people don't like(and keep in mind, people already complain about youtube)? dude, if people followed your logic, they'd lose customers.

I never said people hate your channel and the type of channel shouldn't change your number of subscribers, it's called a "coincidence". your subscribers just happened to go up after you switched. maybe if you had comments of people saying they subbed 'cause of your channel I'd believe you.

Here are the main issues I have with the new beta channels:

1. I want a large box for my top nine videos and I want to be able to sort them to my pleasing.

2. Allow me to put the profile/description box on the upper left and my videos below the video player.

3. I want to be able to make the background transparent.

4. Let me put links that work in the profile box.

5. I would rather read/write comments on the video page than in a tiny box.

A lot of us know you guys worked hard on those channels and I think that's cool.

This is just my opinion (that's shared with more others than i could have ever imagined):

The design is so cluttered and unintuitive that I hate it.

The original (i won't say "old") is brilliant because it's clear and gives a person browsing room to breathe.

Most young people embrace good change but the issue is that the new design is quite terrible on so many fronts.

Please allow us to have an option!

Youtube, I think this is going a little too far. In our rage, we have forgotten that you guys made this site, and without you we wouldn't be here... and this fact makes me wonder even more how such amazing people could make such an obtusely moronic descision by forcing these "improved" channels upon us without even asking us for an opinion. Sure, hundreds of thousands of people may like the beta design, but, as you can see by all the comments, most users dislike the new channels.
