I think we are at a crossroads of sorts at this time. I do believe it's very important not to lose sight that we are a country. Granted, there is some tyranny, even from the top but there is also tyranny from the bottom. True, it's frightening but I imagine any great cultural shift would be. Even in times of peace, it is far better to while away your days with friends and family then to march off to a war you cannot see. It certainly doesn't feel as if I have lost any liberty yet.

I saw something on highway that was WEIRD x 10 the other day. It was a quad-cab pickup truck that had Emergency Medical Services written on both sides and the back. Right below that were the words Homeland Security. I thought, What in the world?

So when I got home I googled the 2 entities going together. I found an article from gov't that stated what a good 'informant' EMS is for homeland security because people usually don't clean up 'evidence' for EMS workers.
