  • Too lazy to shift?

  • For anyone who watches this Video, Lubeowner (jeremy) Built this truck back in 2004 and it was the first 6.0 powerstroke with twin turbo's, It went through several different set ups and has been sold sense, He now is working on a 6.4 Powerstroke and his goal is 1000 hp Fuel only, and after that His plans are a 6.7 Powerstroke next, But these are just where he currently sits,

  • this is a diesel engine.

  • @metaljohn666 turbo is short for turbocharger

  • you wouldnt get this problem with a vf8 turbo .

  • @metaljohn666 u mean super charger and no since a super charger runs off the power of the motor not exhaust run off

  • Beautiful engine and a nice whistle from the tubos

  • oh its a pos powerjoke

  • you wouldn't get this problem with a dodge!

  • Cool automatic.... pussy

  • @laxlozer02 its a truck, dumbass.

  • @laxlozer02 auto can be better with turbo because the shifts are quicker and you barely loose boost between them...just sayin

  • @laxlozer02

Only a douche thinks every vehicle has to have a manual to feel good about themselves... pussy.

  • @adogg619 Pussy for wanting manual over automatic? Baha, come back here when you can appreciate cars.

  • @XxENovaxX

What would you know about cars, you're only 14.

  • What's a turbo lag?

  • @ThalGengHan turbo lag is the delay of boost when u step on the accelerater!!!

  • @Devilshionfly And what's a booost? I'm sorry I'm a dummy on these LOL

  • @ThalGengHan lol its okay, as i knw boost is the power of turbo, think so lol

  • What kind of truck is that

  • @slipknot12390 wad up maggot

  • @PD5353 i was jw what kind of truck this is thats it

  • @slipknot12390 slipknot.....maggot?

  • @PD5353 whats the maggot for?

  • @slipknot12390 its a phrase that they use... and the song... the pulse of the maggot

  • @PD5353 oh lol alright i compleatly forgot out the song name lol

  • @slipknot12390 lmao its straight

  • what kind of turbo??

  • 2:45 sounds like a plain taking off

  • what a fkn shitbox

  • Turbo lag almost does not exist in modern cars or anything probably built after 1995. Twin scroll turbos have eliminated it. To defend turbo cars, you almost do not have more response from any car from 1000-2000 rpms. In the 1980s with such cars in Europe like Ford Escort RS, Renault 5 Turbo, and even supercars like the Porsche 911 turbo (930) did have turbo lag, where you gave it full throttle and nothing happened and then whamm, wheelspin and all. Also these cars had serious overrun popping.

  • Sounds like a boat :/

  • Ford powerjoke for ya!

  • nice truck

  • Lol, American cars are so... unsubtle!

  • that what will happen if u have a v6 or v4 car and u try to catch up with the USA v8 muscle car !

  • @mejawmeyaw Whats a V4?

  • harley f250 powerstroke?

  • stupid, you got a truck. a supercharger has all rights to be placed in a trucks v8 engine... poor turbo!

  • what kind of box you got is it adusted properly

  • if it is twin turbo, get a smaller turbo for the first turbo to spin the bigger turbo at low rpm. it will get rid the lag. but it will suffer from high rpm.

  • here comes the turbo....

  • I love your truck man!!! Ford is the only diesel for me!!!

  • wat car

  • is that a diesel truck??

  • @lilclown830 Yup, you can easily tell by the sound it makes.

  • Wow, the turbos sound awesome, but how come they're so loud? What are they?

  • Lets see you v8 guys with compounds try to beat my 883hp 12 valve , those numbers are on fuel only, I have nitrous on it to set up for a 200 shot ;) 1067 on nitrous!

  • would automatic effect this ?

  • I'll take a deisel over a gas car any day. Because when oil runs dry I don't think a gas car would run on veg oil. But anyway he's got a twin in here which is why it's taking so long to spool up. I think twins are a mid to high range type of turbos.

  • yes it can eat ricers...but what about a real sports car like a nissan 350z...and just so you know T67GS300 i have beat lots of trucks and some with chip on them....

  • haha with a chip

  • That thing will eat ricers alive.

  • Only it has to catch them first.

  • Oh it will.

  • haha Evo 9 with bolt ons 350+ to the wheels, AWD,Lighter,

no way in hell that p.o.s is catching up

  • @gman323 Well Evos arent considered rice.

  • wat is turbo lag does it mean ur turbo just like doesnt work?

  • @kxdirtrider85

nope ..lag is the time that the turbo needs to spool up ..and give you boost/power.

no lag = full trottle ..and go ..instant boost.

Turbo lag = nothing ..nothing ..nothing .. booooooost

  • turbo lag means it needs time to charge up so no power boost until it's charged. The bigger the turbo the more time it need to charge.

  • it is twin turbos

  • Then that's why it's taking so long to spool up. twins are designed for mid to high range on the techo-meter. near redline to inside redline.

  • @lubeowner PUT A SMALL AND THE REGULAR TURBO INSTEAD OF THE TWO REGULAR TURBOS TO REDUCE LAG..THATS HOW BMW DOES IT....so the small turbo starts spooling earlier so the other turbo works faster

  • @daxplil lol thats why bmw is superior, because there much smarter than domestic north american car companies...

  • @myuzz cool series 1???

  • @daxplil haha i wish, vw gti 1.8t tuned and few other mods...u?

  • @myuzz lol.... Volvo S40 2.0T 3" complete exhaust, TD04-19T turbo and ECU tuned , and some other things... :) but my dad has the BMW 135i and that little beetle has Twin turbo and it spools soooooo fast :P... BTW GTI is a GREAT car....my brother has 1 and it pulls!!!

  • @daxplil sounds like a family with great taste in cars!

  • @myuzz lol my sister has a hyundai elantra and my 1st car was a Dodge Neon n/a hahaha but yeah I bought my Volvo after I get my mechanical engineering... but im planning on selling after i took my sisters elantra to maintenance and tested the Genesis Coupé 2.0T :P thats a badass hyundai...lol

  • @lubeowner then get a small turbo and a big one

  • @x0xk0sx0x hahah dumbass!!!

  • @lubeowner do you still get turbo lag? you should try a twin scroll set up

  • @lubeowner hahahahah

  • @lubeowner Lol'ed

  • @lubeowner fail lol

  • @lubeowner ive never heard of a twin turbo powerstroke

  • @lubeowner I think he meant sequential twin turbo

  • you get m ore of this problem with twin turbo

  • @x0xk0sx0x PWNED

  • @x0xk0sx0x acually your very wrong, single turbo would fix the lag or reduce the lag

  • @x0xk0sx0x tt and single turbo doesn't really make a difference anymore. Twin-scroll single turbos work just as well as tt applications. Many times even better.

  • @x0xk0sx0x im pretty sure a single turbo would lag a lot less than a twin turbo, but it also depends on the sizes of the turbos

  • @x0xk0sx0x

yes you would there is no way to completely eliminate turbo lag, you max power will always be had in like 4th or 5th gear at like 4000-6000 rpm, really depends on the tuning! but you can not eliminate turbo lag, maybe maybe if you had a super charger feeding the turbos but even still the turbos need to spool to build boost!

  • @greame5 youre correct theoretically you cannot eliminate, but you can get close enough that it is pretty darn hard to notice

  • @Zlaja16

ya agreed, personally i think turbo lag is awesome, not a racing sense, you want max power as long as possible but from a drivers point of view i think it keeps you on your toes it can be surprising if your not ready for it!

  • @greame5 Why are you guys arguing about V-8s vs 4 bangers when this is a video of a turbo diesel? If you ever have a turbo the size of that which belongs to a diesel, on any typical internal combustion engine... you tell me how much it take to get it to spool. Some of your comments are correct about turbo lag, but that argument is completely irrelevant to this video. Diesel V-8 = Giant turbo = lots of turbo lag... period.

  • @zook62

ok your right about turbo diesels but there have a many number of cars with v8 v10 even the odd v12 with turbos the number of cylinders has no effect on weather you would turbo it or not, the size of turbo you want sure. but the discussion is simply about what turbo lag is and how you can eliminate it it wasn't really discussing this truck as an example! plus ive seen bigger turbos on small engine cars than you would find on a turbo diesel so i don't really see your point

  • @greame5 my comment was regarding you guys arguing about something irrelevant to this video.. which you just admitted you were doing so that's fine. You're right that it is possible to place a large turbo on a small engine, however... small engine + large turbo = more volumetric flow(rpm's) required to spool....and Any size engine + large/heavy turbo = Higher moment of inertia for fan blades = turbo lag anyways. This is why we twin-turbo V-8's.

  • @zook62

ya see i at least answered someones question so although the info i said may have been basic it was at least useful what your saying is also rather irrelevant to this video other than the fact that the truck is a V8, not to mention that I already know that shit so i don't really get what your saying so im gunna stop talking to you

  • @greame5 I think you should stop talking to me... about eliminating turbo lag... on vehicles completely different than the one in this video. Let's go stir the pot on a jdm video :)

  • @zook62 this is just an idea. does this apply to even a car with a manual transmission?coz this way the driver shifts gears the turbo can build enough pressure to spool.Anyone can try this out,if the lag is as much as in an automatic turbo diesel let me know .coz td engines+manual gearbox=nice combo

  • @zook62 okay hows about this have you guys considered this. a diesel 8cyl, with turbo all jointed to a manual transmission?this way you shift gears and allow the turbo to build spool compared to the one in the video

  • @x0xk0sx0x Owned. nigga was like YO that shit ISS twin turbo. and u just kept ur mouth shut. good boy.

  • @x0xk0sx0x haah your a lame ass

  • why the fuck would you bother putting a turbo on a fuckn auto get a manual

  • yeah, i know... the only new diesel pickup with a manual is the dodge ram with the cummins...

  • this makes no sense lol

  • Maybe because turbos are better 4 autos. No boost loss.

  • Sinir geldi izlerken :)

  • lol @ car comments....

You Can't hear the diesel / see the truck front end???

That thing could tow your house if it wanted. Wheels or not lol.

  • plastic car

  • automatic sux

  • Pause at 3.53 its a Harley Davidson F-250.

  • could some one name the brand of the car ?

  • wow the wastegate is soo loud, haha nice

  • sounds like a fighter jet. nice truck guy

  • what truck? F-250 HD? sounds nice...

I have a F-150 HP 02 and was wandering if there was a chip to alter the engine controls

  • this shit is boring, go around a track with this shit and i might watch it

  • antilag would stop all that :)

  • love diesel :)

  • bang run a proper ecu AEM all the way

  • what are those additional gauges for

  • how many inches does that truck give you?

  • lolz

  • That isn't turbo lag dude, that's in the fuel injection system.

  • Not my truck, my 6.0 puts out 700 rwhp and runs 12.5 in the quarter on 35" tires but I know of this truck and his setup and it does run very good.

  • your lag doesn't seem too bad,,,

  • possibly the slowest diesel truck i have seen

  • You wouldnt know a fast truck even if it was up your ass, fag...

  • ohh is this UR truck?? if it is, post some 1/4 mile times. then we'll see if its a fast truck or not. and yea actually i would know a fast truck wit out it being up my ass..... fucker!

  • your the one talkin bout putting things up peoples asses. Its you that seems a bit on the gay side!!!

  • Typical ricer fag posting on a diesel that would blow his piece of shit away...

  • That makes no sense?? Your probably not the brightest person. Whats a ricer answer as supposed to a normal one?Actually its ok don t answer that, probably too much to think about at the one time!! Nd what speed if they can t take bends!

  • as supposed....are you serious? its opposed .....

  • Who cares!! What are you a fucking teacher!!??!!

  • Lag in a diesel and lag in a ricer are totally different. I build high hp diesels and his truck has very little lag for the amount of power he puts out. I could tell you were a ricer fag cus of the videos on your profile so don't awnser on shit you have no clue about. We burn oil not uncle bens here bitch...

  • Ah very good, uncle bens you think of that all by yourself?? Nd what you mean answer shit i don t know?? What did i answer? And at least ricer cars go aaround corners your handicapped engineering does nt!!!

  • Turbo lag sucks, my mom has an 08' ML320 which it's a V6 Diesel, the time where the lag is the most annoying is when you have to make a turn before traffic comes and if it has to been done fast it sucks I hit the pedal and be like "wtf go go!!!" then all of a sudden it spools and I just glues me to the seat, kind of annoying at time.

  • God gave us turbo lag to give those V8 suckers a slight chance

  • @ktm125sx10 and satan gave us anti lag to show them no mercy :p

  • @nathanpisces Nice one! :D

  • @ktm125sx10 thank you :D

  • @ktm125sx10 more like a momentary laps of hope

  • @ktm125sx10 you kidding? a twin turbo on a v8 will demolish 6 cylinders

  • @ktm125sx10

    v8 turbo ftw

  • @ktm125sx10 yer so then a V8 + a turbo = epic win =D

  • @ktm125sx10

    isn't this truck V8?

  • @ktm125sx10 god gave u turbo to have a chance against v8s!

  • @ktm125sx10 the only thing is taht those v8 suckers can get 600 hp with no turbos.

  • @ktm125sx10 Your comment is stupid. Your comment is what retarded Honda Civic owners say because they have tiny little pussy engines with turbos on them. The engine in this video is a fucking V8 Dumb ass. Also, A V8 that makes 300 HP is not the same a some POS 4 cyl engine with 300 HP. Its all bout the power band. A V8 makes that power through out the power band and 4cyl engines have to scream just to touch 300. Not to mention torque is everything. Read up on your numbers.

  • Colder Air into the engine increases horse power, heat wont do too much plus when that turbine is spinning its alredy creating heat from the friction, why do you think intercoolers increase horses? Because cold air is more dense there for more pressure is built when the next combustion cycle takes plus more combustion = more power. Therefore hot air does not increase hp cold air does.

    Your argument is invalid. XD

  • And... well told :D

  • my 7.3 would own your ass

  • obviously this is a diesel

  • Dude that turbo sounds sick what turbo is it?

  • stupid american car !!

  • better than the mopeds you fucks drive

  • oh that explains it youre Belgium your sad fuckers come to norway so i can kick your ass want a schmoke and fankake AHAHAH

  • Comment removed

  • go and return the damn shit and buy a new one

  • hmm thats some bad turbo lag.. i think you should go to a website called aerodyne the first turbo charger with NO lag i bought one and it is incredible.. you put your foot down and immediatly spooling the turbo..

  • what is a turbo lag?

  • simply

takes time for turbo to kick in

so car doesn't go as fast as when turbo is running

  • Comment removed

  • it ok to go fast when turbo is running?

  • booooo

    moron

  • right i dont think im the best person to answer this but. the turbo runs off the exhaust gasses and the more revs the more air so the more boost and at low rpm a lot of turbos dont boost much . soo tubo lag is just wen turbo isnt kicked in yet.

  • actually heat is what spools a turbo. I know it sounds kinda weird and everybody thinks its the movement of exhaust. But trust me I'm a diesel mechanic...I know my shit.

  • exhaust is hot. but you cant spin a damn turbine with heat.

  • i know man, but heat is also a factor...just saying. I didn't mean that the exhaust gasses don't have anything to do with it.

  • heat has nothing to do with it. im sure if scientists could find a way to make cold exhaust or combustion that doesnt put off heat they would prefer it, so would a turbo. what do you think an intercooler is for? TO MAKE SHIT COLD AGAIN BEFORE IT GOES BACK INTO THE CYLINDER. its less dense and you can fit more of it in a chamber. hence the name 'cold air intake'. i could blow on a fan with my mouth all day. if i made my breath hot, its not going to spin better or faster. thanks diesel mechanic

  • ummmm maybe you were busy that day man but.... cold air is MORE dence... therefore meaning there is more O2 in the same area....

colder air equals better burn...aslong as the fuels there to burn...

  • no shit. were talking about how a turbo spools up not how a cylinder prefers the temperature of air. look at the title "turbo lag" kthanks.

  • moron you cant make the intercooler arguement here...its better to have hotter air going out of the manifold (to a point).that is because hot air expands more which means higher pressure to spin the turbine

  • thats why you cool the manifolds to the air/fuel intakes ;)

  • ND02....Heat....is just a temperature.

    Exhaust = Air.

But in that context, we're talking Moving air....

What is spinning the turbine? Air...and what is the air doing?....Moving.

    Heat is just a temperature.....

Oh, and I figure you'll throw this one at me, but yeah we all know heat RISES too

    LOL.

  • turbo lag it when the trbine is speeding up. it happens when a turbo too big for the engine is installed to it. like 4 example, when it is bigger, the turbine is heavier, and takes more exhaust power to get it up to speed. this is unwanted because your car has very low power, then all of a sudden a burst of power when the turbo comes up, but in a race, or if you just want to accelerate really fast say from 70km/h to 130, it will take 4 ever for the turbo to come up, so your fast car is very slow

  • IDIOT!

  • hey bitch stfu and keep it to ur self before u get hurt ya? and go fuck ur mama for me

  • sounds broken

  • Holy poo, I forgot how cool diesel burns compared to gasoline. My WRX sees 1300 degree ETG's, sometimes up into the 1500's during the summer time (if it gets up into the 120 degree F range outside).

  • wanna breath any heavier :O

  • sounds sick

  • nice truck

  • Not pushing much more than 50 PSi, 9 seconds to 0-75... could be better but over all nice truck.

  • looks like normal lag to me, get a smaller turbo if you want it to spin up all the time. A properly sized turbo will not kick in until more than 5/8-3/4 throttle

  • whats the solution for this? anyone

    thanks

    duno about turbo's

  • Nothing really, unless he want's less power. Turbo's of that size are best suited for the strip or sled pulling. Most people still daily them regardless.

  • truck??? lol
