I have a 6th grade daughter that has a terrible time with math... do you think even at her level this would help? or do you have any idea what else i could do to help her?
I substitute teach and tutor math among other classes and would like to respond to your questions. I have noticed disturbing changes in how math is being taught in some schools. The problem is undoubtedly with the teaching method. Ask her school what the math curriculum is and get an answer. I wonder if there are any games that teach algorithms? like you could have some object that represent steps and they only fit one way or something ... ?

What I also learned from these videos are that teachers have to be patient,
praise the students when they do good periodically to encourage them
and also give them the some chance to control the game.

No idea. I think she might have mentioned playing piano at one point but I can't recall exactly.
