door close button actually does not work, but gives you the illusion that it works. The only elevator I have been on that the button works are these ones in Mazatlan at the Sea Garden hotel but it only seems to work when the doors are moving

That elevator does look really fast. A lot of the old Dover/Turnbull elevators have that kind of indicator

i think it uses nixie tubes.

Nixie tubes would not display solid, bold numbers like that. You would see the other digits and the numbers would appear very orange and thin.

These were installed in 1973, Schindler didn't acquire Haughton until 1979.

Fast elevator. The fixtures remind me the annoying elevator at Two Union National Plaza. And I think the indicator suppose to be like that.
