Well Exhibit B hasn't come out yet, so the only thing anybody has heard is a couple leaked tracks, so I don't think the comparison can be made yet. I also prefer Blitz to Dukes. Exhibit A was full of songs that were so long they just got boring halfway through. This album isn't really looking much greater =/. I wasn't particularly impressed with "Class Dismissed" or "Good Riddance"

@quickyway1 They are really over rated in thrash. They don't deserve to be in the big four. I have listened to them for longer than you think. Among the living was a good album, but not very thrashy. When Bush came into the band, they basically abandoned thrash, even if the vocals vastly improved. Joey's melodic singing doesn't fit the thrash style, and it ends up being annoying.

@quickyway1 Difference is, Anthrax made ONLY one thrash record which was Among the living, and even that wasn't very thrashy. Metallica did sell out, so did Megadeth, but before that each of them made some of the most revolutionary thrash records of all time. And now Megadeth has made Endgame they are back to full form. Megadeth's first five albums completely blow Anthrax out of the water.

I find the big four to be disgraceful. Not that they haven't made a hugeimpact on thrash, but they have grown compliant off their success and are perfectly happy with throwing out steaming piles of crap (and in Anthrax's case, NOTHING AT ALL) that their blind fans will eat up then ask for more. There are other thrash bands that never had that level of success and because of that, are still able to make GOOD music, because they use their talent to survive, rather than feed off past glories.

Whether they are or not, World Painted Blood is a pretty mediocre album. Endgame is actually pretty decent since it's coming off of UA (which was mediocre) but Endgame also has it's downsides. A few of the songs are extremely bland, and it's plagued by writing that just seems forced.

I saw these guys live in Scranton. It was in a ballroom with lots of 40-year-old washed-up metalheads (Megadeth Testament Exodus RIP 20th Anniversary tour). Since they were opening for megadeth and half the people were old, nobody was drunk yet and nobody was moshing, and Dukes was a little annoyed. But imho, they absolutely tore up the stage. I am extremely impressed with this band and what they're capable of, and they're definitely headed in the right direction with this song.
