Not a bad description of Leninism, I agree that it hurts more than it has ever helped. But let's be serious for a second: reformist Socialism is hardly a nefarious, wretched scourge to be met with sword and shield.

Where revolutionary socialism demands that you accept its principles by staring at you down the barrel of a gun, reformist socialists merely give you the choice of enacting their policies in a democratic fashion. In other words, they let you say no and accept that answer if given.

For America, this means the government applies the Fabian method, as opposed to the old Soviet way which is still used in many less developed areas. The Fabian method encroaches with psychological warfare, propaganda, and trauma to achieve 'mind control'. yes, but there is a big difference between monopoly capitalism and free market capitalism. Monopoly capitalism is more in line with collectivist ideology. Free market capitalism is the opposite but most leftists fail to to make that distinction.
