I have a 180 volt wind generator myself. I am on my way to put it together. But what do i do to make 180 volts into 12 volts? This part is stressing me out.
What do i do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@67tr876 yah but doing it with pulse width modulation like he is doing is a wayyy more effecient way than getting the 180 volts linearly with a transformer and rectifier and caps
If you want an ouput current more than 10 times the input, it's probably a better idea to go with a push-pull converter, or another topology that uses a transformer.
can you help me converting DC 48 volts to DC 12 volts ?

use MOFSET instead Bipolar transistors ;)

@MrSomeone4321 In the actual circuit I built, i did use a MOSFET.

the hydromatic rehydrogenizer, IT WORKS! IT WORKS! Now Pinky, we can take over THE WORLD!

it would be alot more efficient if you had a step up transformer with a flyback configuration and then you can get stable 50v-600v+

I do need 180 volts but am going to bust 120 volts to 180 volt then convert it to DC.
