Plus the girl says her mother has a job. Government help is based on your income.< If you have a job and have an income help is awarded based on the income you have from that job. Obviously this family makes too much money to receive any further benefits. To say they don't receive any help at all is a lie because the daughter stated they do get a small check and they were receiving medicaid. If this girl is so concerned about money she should get a job during hours when her mother is off.

This is not entirely true. My aunt and uncle have been taking care for their grand kids since the kids were very young. They get food stamps (or food share as it is called now) and they get medicaid for them. This girl says "they get a small check" what is a small check? 300 dollars? 500 dollars? And obviously they were getting medicaid. There are all kinds of excuses people can come up for not going to school, parents with kids go to school and to work.

Foster homes and CAS have a multi billion dollar business, they suck governement and tax payers money. 1500 children have died last year in Ontario in Foster homes, one seven years old boy have committed suicide because he was been abused constantly and beaten by his friends at his foster home!They over medicate children

Why should strangers get paid by taxpayers when there are perfectly good biological parents out there who had their kids stolen by corrupt, filthy foster parents who exploit children? The statistics are out there - a child is 100% more likely to be killed or sexually abused in a foster home than their own family homes. STOP supporting foster families NOW. They have destroyed America and the economy is the proof in the pudding!

Where are you getting your info? I'm a fos/adopt parent in California & I don't know anyone, including myself, who receives that much per child. Depending on what agency you go through, it varies. It depends on age and level of special needs. Our monthly payment is around $548.00 for our 5 year old. It is mandatory in California to foster before adopting. We certainly are not doing it for the money. She came with nothing.

There are a lot of Krystals out here with kids that are not their own. I agree they should get assistance. NOT because the natural parents are on drugs, because the person accepting the role of parent needs the help. That should be the ONLY criteria.

Lewis, this isn't happening only the U.S. - it's across the world (in the West of course - since we have most of these "social" programs! for some people of course).

The young lady should receive some type of financial help (the LEAST our society can do for her).

There is actually some help out there through Kinship Care. Relatives who take children in can be on medicaid, receive a one time subsidy and are eligible for the child's social security and disability. In most cases they can become foster parents and be paid to raise the children.
