I came to america a year ago and I just have 5 of them everywhere in my mouth. I lived 22 years in the middle east, never had something like that. Trust me guys, I think it is all about the type of materials used in the toothpastes. I the US, toothpastes are like Acid.
If your tired of all these treatments that dont work you need to check out The American Institute of Advanced Medicine. Finally someone will get rid of your problem and will stop the cold sores from reoccurring. funny thing, i never used to brush my teeth and i never got them, now that i DO brush my teeth [for m gf] i started getting them like all the time haha
@seanyglass After I quit smoking I started getting cankers like never before, ended up to be a common smoking withdrawal effect. Following an extended online search, I came across some communities that recommended using non-SLS toothpaste...and it worked like nothing!!!! SLS is a highly abrasive substance, used to degrease engines!
@humanrights4all Mind you I still get small reddish inflammations, which are caused by that same herpes virus, but they never develop into cankers...unless I brush using SLS toothpaste.
And the reason I didn’t get those while I smoked is still unknown…
Orange juice is what caused me to get these. I never really drank orange juice, nor had a canker sore until my 2nd year in college. I got into the habit of drinking a few bottles of orange juice everyday because I need potassium for my heart. After a month of doing this I woke up one morning with a stinging pain inside my lip which hurt more each day. I got repeated canker sores after that. Once I stopped drinking Orange Juice, BAM!! never had one again. I think acidity is the cause.
@conman2317 there are many causes and acidity is one of the presumed causes. stress may be another cause because it may also cause more an acidic environment in the body. i have heard that baking soda mixed into a thick paste and place on the sore and left for a while, can help decrease the time you have it. this would make sense with the acidity argument because baking soda is "basic" or a higher pH, which is the opposite of acidic foods which are a lower pH. try it next time and see.
lol sweet, i've got a very tiny one, it's been there for a while only because i irritate it alot, you know my tounge has to go somewhere, and it's in the center of my lip. and on time i bit it,it dose'nt hurt to much anymore. i believe it's healing. somebody get back to me, oh and i'm 13. idk if it's stress and i'm a boy
does this realy work ?

It'll go away eventually if you don't treat it but, if I were you and you would want it to get f***** then use salt and stuff.
