just to let you know. the elbe didn't sink in february 1885. it sank on january 31 1895 by the ship crathie with the loss of 332 lives. only 20 people were saved by a dutch fishing boat crew. the kaiser was so happy, that for many years afterwards, the dutch crew received gifts personally from him.
