Atlus games always have this odd sort of aura about them. They manage to look completely retarded and broken whilst being impossibly amazing to play. I'd never buy 90% of Atlus's games from watching a trailer, but any time I end up playing one it completely sucks me in. I love this company.

@VayuPurana I've got nothing against Final Fantasy VII, but I wouldn't consider it an example of a pretty game. Even for its time it was kind of ugly and blocky. FFVIII was released only a couple years later, and it's comparatively stunning.

this game is AWFUL! after you kill the spider boss, that's when the "GRIND" really takes effect.  omg, you'll be wishing you had enough money to purchase 99 smoke bombs, cause the battles become annoying as hell! if it wasn't for the grind and long a**** battles, I would've rated this game a 8 or 9 out of 10. so so bad >.<

yes grinding for lvls over and over again sucks. it's tedious. the battles are long as hell... but i think i understand where you're come from. you're some 12 year old who still has loads of time on their hands and doesn't mind wasting it on this piece of crap that they call a game.

It's unfortunate that the lack of video quality obscures one of the neatest things about this game (to the SNES-era RPG fans it was practically designed for, anyway...) The game is entirely 2D. Nice-looking 2D.

(Sure, it's not 90's irem/SNK 'holy shit how did they do that' spritework, but it's definitely a cut above NIS and Gust.)
