Have you ever sat in a top of the line Mercedes and then step in one of those "poor man's luxury car" such as Lexus and now those cheap hyundai ones? If you have, you would've noticed the attention to detail, the quality of materials used is subpar to those of BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar etc. Its not about the features, the technology, but more of the build quality and engineering that went into it.

But the new Mercedes-Benz models haven´t got the charm of those old Mercedes of the 70s and the 80s, not to mention the vintage models. The interior looks like a laboratory, and the car body is not much more beautiful than that of an old W126 for an instance....More and more technology, less and less charm.... and reliability, those electronic devices fail in the long run....
