The widest wheel that you can stuff under a non-tubbed car is an 18x9.5" wheel with 5.5" backspacing. Be prepared for mimimal paint removal pulling in and out of gas stations on inner rear fenderwell above the frame rail.
I hope you don't mind if I ask a tech question. I own a 69 coupe, changed to a 4 wheel wilwood set up, Moser 12 bolt, big block car. I don't want to run mini tubs. Could you please tell me what the widest tire I can get in the stock wells would be? On perhaps a 17 or 18 inch rim. I would appreciate any help and I thank-you. P.J.

A car of this caliber would likely start at $100k, this one will WELL exceed that number when finished!!
