  • Thanks for this wonderful resource. I liked the 4 key steps of effective change: Create Pressure -> Set a Compelling Purpose -> Provide Resources -> Take Action. The order is important and resonates with John Kotter's 8 Steps of Change, step #1 of which is to create a sense of urgency. I'd like to suggest that apart from focusing on the positive benefits of change, it is equally useful to help teams emotionalise the damaging consequences of the status quo.The matrix is an invaluable resource.

    Thank you for your +ve feedback - much appreciated. The matrix is really effective when people at different management levels from across the organisation plot where they think the organisation's status on the 4 key steps is and then compare results in a facilitated discussion. Senior management can learn a lot from staff when they feel able to give and discuss their views on the 4 steps. A shared & more effective way forward can then follow. >185,000 copies of guide issued.
