It just sucks that they cancelled this show. Because this show is awesome just like the old school version. I think it's the network's fault that the ratings dropped, cause they kept on moving the show to different days and time slots.  Maybe if they just left alone it would've lasted longer.

@kevinpur The real reason for this is all because of Ford. They want to promote their product so they can make more sales. It is all about image and marketing. I especially hate the transformation of the attack mode when they converted the KITT into hot rod. The producer want to show-off all the techno-cool stuff and play it with style. Very Stupid!!! Look at the Old KITT, they do it smoothly, simple, efficient and keep it low profile.....not just brag it or make it publicity like I got cool car

@ACShorse... you're absolutely right. The technical aspects of the show weren't low profile enough. Instead, we got too much flash and not enough story. The new show could have succeeded if the producers would have focused more on storylines and character development. Instead, they focused too much on the technical and SFX aspects; to the point where things got silly very quickly. They had a chance to revive a great series, and the new show had it's moments, but for the most part, they blew it.

Poor marketing perception - they think it will attract more viewers if they did it with style but we audience are smarter than that. By the way, if the NBC use the latest model to reboot this Knight Rider franchise, a 2008 Chevrolet Camaro would have been much better looking fighting-crime car than Ford Mustang. No offence everyone, Mustang is nice looking car but just a bit outdated since this car was debut in 2004 in the car show and that is almost 4 years old. Did anyone know that Camaro is related to Pontiac Firebird from the original KITT car? They should use Camaro as a successor for next generation KITT ver 3.0.

Now..that is exactly what I called this real Knight Rider reboot show. I hate the remix intro they made into this season opener. They went so far & go to such enormous length, changing everything that looks totally different from the pilot show. A hot rod in "attack mode", a pulsing globe-speaking ball, digital info on the widescreen? That is too much. They should make it looks simple, rational and functional, not just all fancy techno-looking and that's sucks.

I strongly believe the show failed because of the opening intro. Sure the actual show was cheesy but it grew on you. The intro needed to make people want to watch. This remix here does just that.

Es hat nicht das richtige Schnitt-Tempo und die Bildauswahl von KITT ist nicht gut. Zu viele Detailshots von völlig uninteressanten Teilen. Wenn schon, dann mehr Totale oder Halbtotale, aber auch mehr Szenen mit den Schauspielern wären schön gewesen, um die Mustang-Orgie ein wenig aufzulockern ;-)

Hm, also ich finde dieses Intro klasse. So hätte man das neue mixen müssen ! Der neue Michael Knight hätte wieder eine Charaktervisage sein sollen. Der Wagen ist geil gelungen finde ich, auch die Art wie er spricht. Die Musik hätten sie nicht nach den ersten paar sekunden komplett abändern sollen stattdessen die alte Melodie etwas modernisieren. David Hasselhoff hätte im schwarzen Trans Am auftauchen, oder verschwinden sollen ... zu der alten Musik, das wär Gänsehautfeeling gewesen.

Ein echt schönes intro. Gefällt mir persöhnlich besser als das echte intro der neuen serie. Den pilotfilm fand ich jetzt nicht so gut. Z.B. ist mir das auto zu protzig. Der frühere KITT sah einfach schneller aus.

Schade das David Hasselhoff schon so alt ist und probleme mit alkohol hat. Ich hätte ihn mir gerne als fahrer gewünscht.

Naja... nicht wirklich gelungen, der Serienauftakt, das Auto ist ok. wirkt natürlich in der heutigen Zeit längst nicht mehr so cool, wie es damals auf mich gewirkt hat, und daran ist sicher nicht nur das Alter schuld, sondern eben auch, dass es damals etwas besonderes war, ein Auto sprechen zu lassen, Bildschirme im Wagen zu integrieren, etc... Heute, wo man in modernen Autos ständig von sprechenden Stimmen begleitet wird, und überall TFTs, LCDs, etc. sind, wirkt das nicht mehr so aufregend.

I'll admit that the new opening is ALMOST too much. Its one shot after another in super fast close ups that just buzz by too quick. I know its supposed to provide a certain "effect", and it does, but if I had to choose a person to make an intro for season 2, it'd definitely be you.

Only 1 problem - you didn't include any turbo-boost shots! Remember how they did that in the original intro?
