  • My choir is singing this song this year.. i love this song! Thanks for posting :)

  • easy to sing. but not easy to sing WELL - That's masterpiece.

  • i definately agree that this is a true musical masterpiece by all means, but i wonder how these composers managed to be inspired and make such marvelous music inside a religious almighty institution that was simultaneously backing up these marvelous art works and also was perversely persecuting and torturing people that didnt conform to the catholic dogma. The inquisition was particularily active during Vivaldi's time(18th century).

  • @otirudam the inquisition is mainly protestant, not Catholic. Moreover there's no death penalty in Catholicism,so the death sentences were applied by civil tribunals. It was Frederic II who created death penalty by stake, not the Church.Torture was allowed just once, for not more than 15 minute and in a way that could not cause mutilations nor risk of death.Sentenced to death were some hundred of peolpe(less that the victims of french revolution).

  • @Lictorium i am not a historian, but as far as i know christians and catholics have persecuted, plundered , tortured and assasinated millions of people throughout the world so as to impose Jesuschrist as the only true god and they did it by manipulating civil, military and police servants. The horrific true story of the catholic church has yet to appear but its almost an impossible feat, because the Vatican is the most efficient world institution in disguising and covering up their foul play

  • @otirudam I will pray for you.

  • @otirudam "i am not a historian". Correct - you aren't. Clearly you read and understand little history, because although the Vatican would LOVE to cover it all up, its done a very poor job of it. From the Crusades to the Inquisition, from heterosexual immorality to homosexuality to paedophilia, its all pretty much out in the open!

The Roman Catholic institution was never a true Church. It was always an imposter with a false god (the Queen of Heaven - read Jeremiah 7).

    True Christians (more)

  • @otirudam continued. True Christians follow Christ and obey Him. He taught against violence, and instead to "turn the other cheek".

He also taught that He was the only Way, Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through Him, and there is no other Name under Heaven given whereby we must be saved. The so-called 'Queen of Heaven' whom Rona Catholics falsely regard as co-redemptrix is not an exception.

  • @Lictorium "the inquisition is mainly protestant, not Catholic." By gosh, that's a new one on me. Please tell me where you get such an idea?

  • @OneJohnFiveTwelve first of all 99% of the stoires of Catholic inquisition come from illuministic and protestant propaganda. Then,in protestant countries things like wtch-hunt made MUCH MUCH MORE victims than any Catholic inquisition. Moreover,as I said,it wasn't the Church to send people to the stake, while in protestantism it was the church to sentence people to death.

  • @Lictorium "first of all 99% of the stoires of Catholic inquisition come from illuministic and protestant propaganda..."

Well, you've basically repeated your assertions, but without answering my question: "where did you get that idea from?"

  • @OneJohnFiveTwelve the answer is in the first comment i wrote. If you put together those facts and the facts about protestantism i wrote in the second comment you have the answer.

    Bye.
