  • one of the oddest bands "withouut trying" ive ever seen. catchy , ive watched this over and over, found it by mistake.

the backround set looks like it may be at the 'old grey whistle test set'

  • Effortlessly stylish. Lovely group, ever !

  • cna anyone tell where is the song ''yank'' from the Gist, thanks a lot!

  • I was looking for The Gist's "Fool for a Valentine" when I came across this. Wonderful. Thanks for posting.

  • This currently my favorite video

  • The verse melody in this reminds me of the song "On Broadway", played by Neil Young and others. Almost identical

  • I love this band

    It's amazing

    I'm from argentina

  • Pure bliss. To see this music performed, music I heard and felt so many times. There are so many feelings connected with this music. There's so much golden shimmering warmth in it, like a dream of better days gone by but it's rather a certainty than a dream, dreamy certainty, certain dream, whatever. Those musicians gave the world the best they could give. You can't ask for more. Thank You for posting this!

  • From the golden age of Rough Trade (one of them, anyway!)

  • On;y discovered this band watching the Rough Trade documentary on BBC 4 tonight. Love the sound - now checking out what's available to buy.

  • Alison is a chiropractor in her native Cardif

  • She is also a goddess in my memory

  • Unique class .

  • That was really nice - thanks for posting

  • I don't even remember how I got into Weekend back in the early eightees.I'm sure I purchased their album at the import record store in Vancouver. They were the most mysterious band to me. I knew nothing about them except that they were unique and wonderful. Hadn't even seen any video of them until now. I too can rest now. Thanks for posting this. You've made my day.

  • She's beautiful. Is she married?

  • Thanks for posting. I love this band.

  • Poxa o Kurt gosta que eu não gosto , que voz , sencivel e ao mesmo tempo agraciva

  • I don't agree with you at all, but I think they should quote this in the album booklet.

  • Bit harsh I think - her singing suits the song and the mood

  • Nice band, sweet woman, good atmosphere. But all the same I think het voice is shaky and superficial.

  • I just can't get over how completely freaking amazing this is!

  • just lovely.

  • The song is called Summerdays

  • Interesting band, I first came across them in the 'net and read a bit more about them in Simon Reynolds impressive "Rip it Up and Start Again". Though nothing great, they added a unique sound to an already highly diverse genre as Post-Punk.

  • Great band. Great post.

    Thanks!!

  • This and Young Marble Giants is my path to the world of music. Thank You
